ব্রিটিশ সাম্রাজ্যবাদ বিরোধী জনজাগরণের পিঠে ছুরি মেরে, তেলেঙ্গানা সংগ্রামের বিশ্বাসঘাতকতার পর যখন সংশোধনবাদের চোরাবালিতে পথ হাতড়াচ্ছে ভারতের কমিউনিস্ট আন্দোলন, ঠিক তখনই নকশালবাড়ির লাল আগুন ভারতের ৫০ কোটি মুক্তিকামী জনগণের সম্মুখে বিপ্লবের বার্তা বয়ে আনে। ভারতের জনগণের মাথায় চেপে বসে থাকা সামন্ততন্ত্র, আমলাতান্ত্রিক মুৎসুদ্দি পুঁজি ও সাম্রাজ্যবাদের তিন ভারী পাহাড় ভাঙার গুরুদায়িত্ব কাঁধে তুলে নেয় লাখো লাখো জনগণ। শ্বেত সন্ত্রাসের নতুন মাইলফলক প্রতিষ্ঠা করে ঔপনিবেশিক শাসনে প্রশিক্ষিত ভারত রাষ্ট্রের পুলিশ। গঙ্গা থেকে মহানদী, কাবানি থেকে ইন্দ্রাবতী — ভারতের নয়া গণতান্ত্রিক বিপ্লবের স্বপ্ন বাস্তবায়িত করতে বয়ে গেছে হাজারে হাজারে শ্রমিক, কৃষক, ছাত্র যুবর রক্ত। চারু মজুমদার, জহর (সুব্রত দত্ত) থেকে বাসভরাজ – শাসক শ্রেণীর নিষ্ঠুর আক্রমণে বীরের মৃত্যু বরণ করেছেন ভারতীয় বিপ্লবের শীর্ষ নেতৃত্ব, অসংখ্য কর্মী এবং সমর্থক। ভারতে চলমান বিপ্লবী আন্দোলনকে মুছে ফেলার দিবাস্বপ্নে বিভোর হয়ে উন্মাদ নৃত্য করছে শাসক শ্রেণী। কিন্তু মার্ক্সবাদ লেনিনবাদ মাওবাদের বিজ্ঞান আমাদের শিক্ষা দিয়েছে, “ইতিহাসের গতি সরলরৈখিক নয়, তা শঙ্খিল”, সাময়িক পশ্চাদপসরণের পরই আসে বিপ্লবী জোয়ার, একটা ফুলকি সৃষ্টি করে প্রকাণ্ড দাবানলের। বর্তমানে বিপ্লবী আন্দোলনের ব্যপক ক্ষয়ক্ষতি দেখে ভুলে গেলে চলবে না যে স্তলিপিন প্রতিক্রিয়া ভেঙেই এগিয়েছিল বলশেভিক বিপ্লবের জয়রথ, ঝিয়াংশির ঘাঁটি এলাকায় প্রতিক্রিয়াশীল কুয়োমিনতাং আক্রমণের মুখে সাময়িক পশ্চাদপসরণের পর সংগঠিত হয় চীন বিপ্লব।
আজ অনুশোচনার দিন নয়, আজ কঠিন শপথ, ভারত তথা সারা বিশ্বের শোষিত জনগণের মুক্তির একমাত্র অস্ত্র মার্ক্সবাদ লেনিনবাদ মাওবাদের বৈজ্ঞানিক মতবাদকে আরও গভীরভাবে আয়ত্ত ও জনগণের মধ্যে ছড়িয়ে দেওয়ার সময়। আসুন, মহান নকশালবাড়ি ও ভারতের বুকে চলমান বিপ্লবী কমিউনিস্ট আন্দোলনের সকল শহীদদের স্মরণ করে, আগামী ২৮শে জুলাই শহীদ দিবস হিসেবে পালন করি।

We, the Revolutionary Students’ Front, strongly condemn the horrifying abduction, illegal detention, and brutal custodial torture of students and democratic rights activists by the Delhi Police Special Cell, acting under the clear directives of the Brahminical Hindutva fascist Indian state. These are not aberrations, but deliberate acts in a calculated campaign to destroy every voice of dissent, to break the spine of all people’s movements, and to turn this land into a playground for imperialist loot.
On July 9th, student activists Comrade Gurkirat, Comrade Gaurav, and Comrade Gauraang from Bhagat Singh Chhatra Ekta Manch were picked up without any arrest warrants, their families not informed, and held incommunicado at the New Friends Colony Police Station in Delhi. Two days later, on 11th July, Ehtmam-ul Haque and Baadal associated with the Forum Against Corporatization and Militarization, faced the same fate in Delhi, while Samrat Singh, a psychologist and social worker, was illegally taken from his home in Haryana, outside the Delhi Police's jurisdiction, without local police knowledge, without court orders and without the most basic constitutional protections.
This is nothing but an open declaration of war against students and the masses who dare to question the Brahminical fascist BJP-RSS government. While in custody, the comrades were stripped naked, electrocuted, beaten mercilessly, had their heads forced into toilet bowls, and were threatened with horrific sexual violence, especially directed at women activists. These are not just police excesses. This is state terror in its openly brutal form.
What we are witnessing is the complete collapse of even the illusion of "law and order". The constitutional guarantees under Articles 21 and 22, as well as Supreme Court guidelines on arrest and detention, and all supposed "democratic" safeguards, have been discarded. The Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita is not being used as law, it is being weaponised as a tool of State repression.
This is part of a broader fascist blueprint, the Surajkund Scheme and other such "schemes" aimed at wiping out every kind of resistance to make the path of loot and exploitation clear for the imperialist powers. The same system that commits mass-murders of six-month-old babies and indigenous people of Central India, tagging them as "terrorists", tortures students in secret cells. The same forces that bulldoze homes, destroy forests, and evict the landless working class are now disappearing our comrades. The state wants us to be silent. To obey. But we refuse! Such fascist state repression has never been able to stop the revolutionary students of India, neither British colonialism, nor sixty years of Congress rule could do it, and neither will the RSS-BJP.
We are students, not slaves. We will not be cowed by your batons, your electric wires, or your prison cells!
We demand :
1. Immediate and unconditional release of Ehtmam-ul Haque and Samrat Singh from illegal detention.
2. A high-level judicial investigation into the abductions, torture, and threats of sexual violence by Delhi Police Special Cell.
3. Criminal prosecution of all police officers responsible for these heinous illegal acts.

| 8 | *CASR STRONGLY CONDEMNS THE ABDUCTION AND BRUTAL TORTURE OF STUDENTS AND OTHER ACTIVISTS BY DELHI POLICE SPECIAL CELL*
The Campaign Against State Repression (CASR) expresses grave concern and strong condemnation of the recent and ongoing wave of illegal abductions, enforced disappearances, and custodial torture of democratic activists in Delhi and surrounding areas. These actions represent not only an attack on civil liberties and democratic rights but constitute gross violations of constitutional, statutory, and international legal protections.
On 9 July 2025, activists Gurkirat, Gaurav, and Gauraang of the Bhagat Singh Chhatra Ekta Manch were picked up without any arrest warrant or notice, in complete violation of Sections 35 and 36 of the BNSS. They were detained at New Friends Colony Police Station, without informing family members or legal counsel.
On 11 July, Ehtmam-ul Haque and Baadal were similarly abducted in Delhi, while Samrat Singh, a psychologist and social worker, was picked up from his residence in Yamunanagar, Haryana, without the knowledge of local authorities and outside the jurisdictional mandate of the Delhi Police.
None of these detentions followed the legal procedures required under Article 22 of the Constitution of India, which guarantees the right to be informed of the grounds of arrest and to consult and be defended by a legal practitioner of one’s choice. Nor were the requirements laid out in the D.K. Basu v. State of West Bengal (1997) Supreme Court judgment adhered to—no arrest memos were prepared, families were not informed, and the detainees were denied access to legal counsel.
While in custody, the activists were subjected to torture that directly violates the right to life and dignity under Article 21 of the Constitution. They were stripped naked, beaten, electrocuted, and subjected to degrading treatment including having their heads submerged in toilet bowls. The police also issued horrific threats of sexual violence, particularly against female activists, who were told they would be raped using rods—a tactic of intimidation that constitutes sexual torture under both Indian law and international conventions.
These acts amount to criminal offences under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023, including wrongful restraint and confinement (Sections 124 and 125), kidnapping and abduction (Sections 137 and 138), voluntarily causing hurt and grievous hurt (Sections 112–115), and criminal intimidation (Section 138(2)), as well as violations of the Protection of Human Rights Act, 1993, and the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, where applicable. The Indian Supreme Court has repeatedly held that custodial torture is not only illegal but a direct assault on the rule of law.
These detentions and acts of torture are not isolated incidents. They form part of a broader national pattern of state repression under the Surajkund Scheme, to silence and criminalise all forms of democratic dissent. The country is witnessing an undeclared emergency, marked by surveillance, forced surrenders, and normalised custodial violence, with students, civil rights activists, and people’s activists being treated as enemies of the state.
As of now, Ehtmam-ul Haque and Samrat Singh continue to be detained illegally at New Friends Colony Police Station, without being produced before a magistrate as required under Article 22(2) of the Constitution and Section 187 of the BNSS, 2023, which mandate that no person shall be detained without judicial oversight beyond 24 hours.
We demand:
1. The immediate and unconditional release of Ehtmam-ul Haque and Samrat Singh from illegal detention.
2. A judicial inquiry into the abductions, enforced disappearances, custodial torture, and threats of sexual violence faced by the detained activists.
3. The registration of criminal cases against, and prosecution of, police personnel and officials responsible for these unlawful acts. | 0 |
