"I don't need Church, I have Jesus" Wrong. You do need church. Christianity isn't a lone ranger faith; it's communal, family, a covenant community relationship with one another and well as with Jesus. "Don't forsake the gathering...", "where two or three are gathered...". God has placed presbyters and elders, pastors and teachers, to guard over his flock. We need one another, as Paul said with his body part analogy. In other words: GO TO CHURCH.

Surprisingly, this is an interpretation I've but come across before. What do you think? Most ancient commentary I've read points to the blood and water as hints at the Eucharist or baptism and new life etc
