| 2 | Experience Report: Workshops at Canary Shibari, Tenerife
During our time as guests at Canary Shibari in Tenerife, Saara and I had the wonderful opportunity to share our knowledge, experiences, and approaches through a series of workshops in a warm and inspiring environment.
We offered several different workshops, including Pain Play & Pain Management and Body Manipulation. I also had the chance to teach my βPlay & Shootβ workshop, focusing on flow, predicament, and the joy of interactive creation.
For me, Play & Shoot has never been about creating the perfect image, having professional equipment, or reaching a certain skill level. It is about letting go of perfectionism, exploring freely, connecting with each other, and discovering the depth that can emerge when a couple enters a shared space of play.
For more than five years, I have been teaching this approach to shooting play, and I continue to be fascinated by how much creativity, connection, and spontaneity can unfold when the camera becomes part of the experience rather than a tool for evaluation. Every workshop is different, every dynamic is unique, and there is always something new to discover.
One of the most rewarding parts for me is hearing from participants that they are taking something valuable home with them β not only new techniques or ideas, but a different perspective on how to approach play, presence, and capturing their experiences together.
A big thank you to Canary Shibari for the invitation, the beautiful organization, and for creating a space where people could meet, explore, learn, and grow together. Tenerife was not only an amazing location, but also a place full of connection, creativity, and shared experiences. | 691 |
