Ibrāhīm ibn Adham (رحمه الله) said:
الحُزن حزنان: حزن لك، وحزن عليك.
فالحزن الذي هو لك:
حزنك على الآخرة وخَيْرها
والحزن الذي هو عليك:
حزنك على الدنيا وزينتها
Sadness is of two types: a sadness that is for you, and a sadness that is against you. The sadness that is for you is your sadness over the Hereafter and its goodness. And the sadness that is against you is your sadness over the worldly life and its adornments.Tahdhīb al-Kamāl: (2/33)

Yahya b. Mu'adh:
The Dunya [world] is worthless to its Lord [Allah], and yet it belongs to Him. So it’s not right that you value it so much, and it’s not even yours!(Hilyat'l-Awliya’, 14549)

Ibn ‘Abbās رضي الله عنه said:
“Verily with the good deed is:
• a brightness on the face
• a light in the heart
• a vastness in provision
• strength in the body
• love in the hearts of the creation
And verily with the evil deed is:
• darkness on the face
• blackness of the heart and grave
• weakness in the body
• deficiency in provision
• hate in the hearts of the creation”

Ibn Taymiyyah
When the heart tastes the sweetness of worshipping Allah & being sincere to Him, there is nothing at all that is sweeter, more delightful, more enjoyable, or more pleasant to it than that.[Al-Ubudiyyah, pg. 90]

{وَلَوْ شَآءَ ٱللَّهُ مَآ أَشْرَكُوا۟}
But if Allāh had willed, they would not have associated.
Allah's is the perfect will and wisdom in all decrees and decisions, and He is never questioned about what He does, while they all will be questioned.
{وَمَا جَعَلْنَـٰكَ عَلَيْهِمْ حَفِيظًۭا}
And We have not appointed you over them as a guardian.

or to control their provision. Rather, your only job is to convey.

﴾إلا من تاب وآمن وعمل عملا صالحا فأولئك يبدل الله سيئاتهم حسنات﴿ Except for those who repent and believe and do good deeds, then Allaah will change their bad deeds into good.Salmaan al-Farsi said: A man will be given his scroll on the Day of Resurrection. So he will read from the top and he’ll see his evil deeds! And just as he’s about to lose hope, he’ll look below and see his good deeds! Then he’ll look at the top of his scroll again and behold! His evil deeds have been converted into good deeds! Source: Jami’ al-Uloom wal-Hikam (v. 1, p. 453)

[O son of Adam! If you have not called upon me and begged me for forgiveness, I have forgiven you for what was in you and I do not care about it; O son of Adam! If your sins reached the sky and then you asked me for forgiveness, I would have forgiven you and I do not care about it; O son of Adam! If you came to me with the sins of the whole earth and then met me, do not associate anything with me; I would come to you with the forgiveness of all of them]

وعن سهل بن سعد رضي الله عنه أن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال لعلي رضي الله عنه : "فوالله لأن يهدي الله بك رجلا واحدا خير من حمر النعم" ((متفق عليه))
Sahl bin Sa'd (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:
The Prophet (ﷺ) said to 'Ali (May Allah be pleased with him), "By Allah, if a single person is guided by Allah through you, it will be better for you than a whole lot of red camels."

Test your faith with the Quran. Whenever you find yourself drawn to the Quran, it is a sign of goodness. But whenever you find yourself turning away from the Quran, we ask Allah, the Almighty, for safety, as this is a deficiency. A person should test themselves with the Quran and be diligent with it. One of the amazing aspects of the Quran is that if you leave it, it will leave you. If you stop reviewing it, it will slip away just as camels slip away from their tethers.Shaykh Abdus-Salam As-Shuway’ir حفظه الله

The purpose of du'ā is not to inform Allāh (of your needs for He already knows). Rather, it is to manifest your fragility, humility and brokenness before Him, and to acknowledge that everything is from Allāh.
