+1Researchers inoculated rabbits in the testicles with material from diseased humans and concluded a “virus” was present—only to discover the same “virus” in normal rabbits.
Instead of questioning whether the method caused the disease, they concluded it must be a rabbit “virus.”
The paper praises the study for avoiding “premature and erroneous conclusions” about a causal human “virus.”
Yet as the same result appeared in controls, concluding a rabbit “virus” was present is the very error they claimed to avoid.
