. Consider the following statements regarding statutory and constitutional protections against child labour in India:
(1) Article 24 of the Constitution imposes an absolute prohibition on the employment of children below 14 years in factories, mines, or any hazardous employment.
(2) Under the Child and Adolescent Labour (Prohibition and Regulation) Act, 1986 (as amended in 2016), employment of children below 14 years is permitted if they assist in family enterprises after school hours or work as child artists under prescribed safety conditions.
