Lucifer is the bringer of light.“light-bearer” in Latin: lux/lucis = light and ferre = to carry or bring. In classical Latin, lucifer could refer to the morning star - Venus when visible before sunrise. It was not originally exclusively a personal name for Satan.
Jesus himself is called “the bright and morning star” in Revelation 22:16.
There is even an old Christian use of lucifer in a positive sense. In the Latin Vulgate of 2 Peter 1:19, the word appears in the phrase about the morning star arising in the heart. So the same Latin word could signify celestial light or Christ before it became strongly associated in popular Christianity with the Devil.

In early 2020, two nursing homes on opposite sides of the Atlantic became symbols of the devastation being reported from COVID outbreaks.
LIFE CARE CENTER - KIRKLAND, WASHINGTON, USA
One of the first major American nursing-home outbreaks. The CDC investigation recorded 129 associated cases and 23 deaths.
Then look at Ireland.
DEALGAN HOUSE - DUNDALK, IRELAND
The home suffered a catastrophic outbreak only weeks later. By early May 2020, 23 residents had died during the outbreak, and outside management was brought in as the crisis escalated.
So you have two major nursing-home disasters:
America - 23 deaths.
Ireland - 23 deaths.
Same period.
Same vulnerable setting.
Same type of national crisis.
Same reported number of deaths.
There is an important detail: later Irish reporting distinguished 22 confirmed COVID-related deaths at Dealgan House from the 23 residents who died during that outbreak period, so the figures are not medically identical.
But the historical parallel is still striking.
Kirkland became one of America's defining early nursing-home stories. Dealgan House became one of Ireland's. And both initially carried the number 23.
Coincidence may be the explanation.
But if we're going to examine recurring parallels between major Irish and American news events, this is one worth putting on the record.
We are living through the largest psychological warfare experiment of all time.....
