𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐝𝐨 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐛𝐥𝐞𝐦 𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐲𝐬𝐢𝐬 by Himanshu sharma Try the following steps: 🔰 Read theory of common data structures and algorithms like Arrays, Stacks, Queues, Binary Search, etc. Every data structure algorithm has some purpose, and you should be aware of those things. 🔰 Create a list of all data structure and algorithms you studied or aware of now. 🔰 Pick some questions that interests you. There is no order to follow, because you know theory at this point. 🔰 For any given question, read the problem statement carefully. Look at the list you prepared earlier, try to find reasons why a data structure / algorithm can/cannot be applied. This step is very very important. Because even if you find that Stack cannot be used in this question, you are getting more into use cases a stack can serve. So spend time there. 🔰 Once you have some approach, code it and submit on LeetCode (or any platform you use). Also try to find out the time and space complexity of your solution. 🔰 Now it's time to optimise your solution. Take some time, think more. Also LeetCode Discuss section is amazing trust me, see how others have solved. 🔰 Once you get the optimal approach, code it and re-submit. At this step you are done with that particular question. 🔰 Repeat same for all problems you take. This process is time taking. Don't force yourself to solve X problems within a T time. Every person is different, your T can be different. But it is guaranteed that with practice you will be able to minimise it. 𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐚𝐜𝐡 𝐕𝐬 𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 1000+ 𝐪𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐝𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐥𝐲? Some people argue that if we solve 500-1000 problems we are good to go. Targeting them within 1-3 months and become interview ready. I say, this approach may work but it won't work every time. This way you learn and remember common patterns of problems. What if, you get some new pattern?? Then the problem analysing skill gonna help you. Because you are fundamentally strong and know in-out of data structures and algorithms you prepared. So it is your decisions whether you focus on number of questions or problem solving skills Hope this helps. #datastructures #algorithms #problemsolving #amazon #interviewpreparation #faang
