1⃣ Now let’s look at first conditional sentences. We use the first conditional when we talk about future situations we believe are real or possible. 📚 If I study, I will pass the exam.

Now you will notice the difference between all these sentences are really only the tenses. They all really mean the same thing.

Let us first look at some examples, 0⃣ 0 conditional: I pass the exam, if I study. 1⃣ 1st conditional: If I study, I will pass the exam. 2⃣ 2nd conditional: If I studied, I would pass the exam. 3⃣ 3rd conditional: If I had studied, I would have passed the exam.

Yesterday we also looked at zero conditional sentences. These sentences are used to state facts and use simple present tense in both, condition clause and result clause. Today we will take a look at first conditional, second conditional and third conditional sentences.

For example, ❄ If you freeze water, it becomes solid.
