hello! 🌟 hope everyone’s had a good day so far. i just finished a p3 today hahahahahahhahahaha anyway! i answered some tells yesterday and quite a few have been asking about how to get motivated to study. for starters, try setting goals and building intrinsic motivation to encourage yourself. set up a study schedule and follow it to a T. enlist the help of your friends to keep you accountable, and maybe establish a study group to study together after school (google body doubling!). in a similar vein, the pomodoro technique helps to get you into the flow of studying. truthfully, we can’t always rely on motivation and vibes to determine whether or not we want to study. sometimes we just have to push through and get work done, even when we don’t feel like doing so 😢 however, there are a few ways to make studying more enjoyable: employ techniques like active recall and spaced repetition to retain information better. switch up your study environments multiple times a day (i alternate between the dining table, study room, and a tiny desk in my bedroom) to make learning less banal. ultimately, it’s important to be kind to yourself during this tough journey leading up to such high-stakes exams. however, it’s equally essential to be FIRM and DISCIPLINED. take regular breaks and have an hour or two to yourself at the end of every day to prevent burnout. be strict about remaining on task, but watch for symptoms of burnout that indicate that you’re more than just fatigued. all the best everyone! hope this helped šŸ¤šŸ¤šŸ¤

JUST TO CLARIFY. I am a big fat slacker whatever you see here has been carefully orchestrated to put forth a certain message and as with all social media platforms, what you see is often far from reality. Let it be known: I AM A BIG FAT SLACKER. i do not study for 12h a day (let’s be real there’s honestly no need to torture yourself like that… it’s pretty counterintuitive past the 8 hour mark…). the internet is a lie and maybe i am a big fat liar too… anyway what i’m trying to say is that you shouldn’t compare yourself to people online. focus on what works best for you (aka quality) rather than the amount of time others spend studying (aka quantity). i bet most study channel admins have their slacker moments too. possibly they leave their ypt timer running for 15 hours straight while they take a nap, or they film a study timelapse without actually internalising the information they were meant to be studying. the bottom line is: forget about what others are doing. do what works best for you. any progress IS progress, even if it happens at a pace slower than your peers’.

i’ve just answered some tells! hugs to everyone taking their major exams rn, i fully understand how you feel 😢

all the best everyone! This is embarrazzing… but i’ll keep my tellonym up for a bit… tell anything- i’d love to read whatever you guys have to say during my breaks šŸ˜† https://tellonym.me/ch4r___

i can feel my attention span waning as the minutes go by… i’m no longer the mugger i was when i first started this channel 🤣 for those who share the same plight, these are some things that have helped me: - pomodoro technique - brown noise - jazz music - kpop instrumental >> listening to the same music every time i study causes me to associate that particular music with studying = productive mode!

remember to take regular breaks (long study sessions without them are counterintuitive!!!) and to take care of your emotional and physical health :) this entails: 1) eating nutritious, proper meals. - no chips for lunch. no acai for dinner. We do not have girl dinners when we’re in our academic weapon era. 2) getting adequate sleep. min 7 hours - let’s be real what makes you think you’ll remember whatever you studied at 1am the previous night? 3) staying active - take walks or go for a swim if you hate running just as much as i do!

i hope you’re all doing well!! we’re probably all in the midst of prelims/termly assessments so i just wanted to check in <3
