Parenting is the most pure and visible result of philosophy in action.
The way you think is the way your kids will think if its good or bad.

| 7 | Reading a philosopher who you agree with is akin to copying off of someone elses homework, this is important for people who have impact. It gives you the ability to copy their work on the rationalization and understanding of why you think something, believe something, live something.

For those who do, and wish to? It is important to become the best vessel for your lived ideas / lived beliefs which are present only in philosophy. That is what people thought when it was invented, historically philosophy was a STEM field and existed because people wanted to create reproducible science like results of their thoughts / ideas / beliefs.
Reading someone you don't agree with to better argue why they are wrong, Reading those you do in order to fully flush out your viewpoints. Maximizing your 80/20 on it as well and not just sitting around thinking instead of acting.
Do not write off a whole genre because "i already know everything"
Philosophy inherently is an operating system for living, to think that you have the most optimal and rationalized way of living and it can't be improved with ideas that other people have developed / done the work to yield is not seeing the forst through the trees.
