"To serve one's country is a noble thing. Our communal life, the bonds between humanity, and even our ancestors who passed down life from before, our communal life of mutual assistance and support—there may have been times when one person died to save a family. There may have been times when an entire family perished to save a village. Without serving one's country, that is, sacrificing one's life for the sake of communal life, humanity would have perished, and the Japanese people would have ended up as a enslaved species." - Shimpei Yamaguchi (father of Otoya Yamaguchi), Bungei Shunju, Vol. 39, No. 1, January 1, 1961

Katsuyoshi Mikami born in Aomori Prefecture in 1917. In 1934, he joined the Yokosuka Naval Air Corps as a fourth-class seaman. In July 1937, after graduating from the 37th class of pilot trainees selected from within the corps, he became a fighter pilot and participated in the South China Operation as a member of the 14th Air Group. Afterwards, he was involved in the practical testing of the Type 12 Carrier Fighter (later known as the Zero Fighter) at the Yokosuka Naval Air Group. In August 1940, he was transferred to the 12th Air Group, based in Hankou. On September 13, he participated in the Zero Fighter's debut aerial battle over Chongqing. He continued to sortie until August 1941, but contracted pulmonary tuberculosis and retired from the Navy at the end of that year. After the war, he ran a textbook sales company in Iwate Prefecture and contributed to the development of school education.

"Otoya Yamaguchi's death poems, 'For the sake of the nation, the men of this divine land will go forth with bright smiles on their final journey' and 'The young men who serve the Emperor will never change their hearts, then or now,' express a determination to protect the national polity and the Emperor. A true patriot dies to protect the national polity. The Emperor's guardians are the right wing. The right wing must return to its original form. A small, elite group is sufficient. They don't need to be beloved right-wingers. The right wing must be feared by those in the political and business world. They must maintain the stance of, 'If you act treasonously, we'll come after you.' If they lose their intimidating presence, the right wing will be taken advantage of. The right wing are ideological activists, not political activists. If they engage in political activism, they will only be used by the LDP power." - Yamamoto Mineaki (former Showa Restoration League), October 20, 2008, "Political and Cultural Infor

Headquarters for the Rescue of Otoya Yamaguchi (13 organizations including the Association for the Establishment of Public Order, the Against-Communist Volunteer Corps, the Great Japan Independent Youth Party, and the Great Japan Patriotic Party) "- Asanuma fell with the blade of divine retribution. Mr. Yamaguchi's actions are those of a true patriot. - The media is calling it right-wing violence and ganging up on the gentle Mr. Yamaguchi. Mr. Yamaguchi did a magnificent thing. It was a cry from the blood of the Japan nation, an expression of the Japanese spirit, a manifestation of the righteous spirit of heaven and earth. - We will continue to do things that would bring joy to Mr. Yamaguchi, and we would like to raise a toast to his good health." When God and man unite, and one reaches the realm of divine-human unity, the “will and integrity” will surely be realized. The righteous act of the divine punishment that struck down Inejirō Asanuma is the embodiment of this truth in its purest form. Yo Takaoka (Vice Representative, Otoya Yamaguchi Commemoration Association), March 1, 2023, "Current Affairs Council Newsletter" No. 2, Current Affairs Council.

"Regarding Hitler, when I was in the Patriotic Party, I read his book *Mein Kampf* and was impressed by his guiding principles: 'National Socialist thinking, anti-communist, anti-semitic, totalitarianism.' Kojima Takanori was a loyal subject who abandoned his own name, and Saigo Takamori, though called a traitor, I believe he truly acted for the good of Japan. Yamaga Soko sought the Way by reading Confucianism, the Four Books and Five Classics, but hit a wall and realized it was mere theory, ultimately mastering the Way through practical experience. Yoshida Shoin excelled in guiding principles and was arrested during the Ansei Purge. I believe his idea that one should abide by the punishment if they break the law, even if it is an unjust law, is correct. Furthermore, I respect the young men of the Special Attack Unit who died silently during the Greater East Asia War, for the sake of their country and future generations, without seeking wealth or power." - Otoya Yamaguchi

"I firmly believed that killing Chairman Asanuma was for the good of Japan and its people, and therefore I committed the murder. While my actions were illegal, I felt there was no other way, and I succeeded, so I have no regrets now. However, Chairman Asanuma is now deceased, and I have no intention of pursuing any crimes committed during his lifetime. I simply pray for his soul to rest in peace. Furthermore, although Chairman Asanuma's family may be financially stable, their love for him remains unchanged, and their lives are filled with sadness and trouble due to his murder. I sincerely apologize to his family." - Otoya Yamaguchi
