Hey all, @techworkersber together with IG Metall, ver.di; we are organising the first English speaking tech conference on 30 September. Current Works Council members are required to fill out the formal form enclosed, but it's free for everyone else (registration still needed). We are looking for people actively in process of organising their workplace, and want to grow community, skills and have fun learning together. Afterwards, we'll all head to a party together. 📣 Today Berlin employees of contentful (wordpress for developers) are voting on who will represent them in their first Works Council (Betriebsrat) during these turbulent times! 🧡 @lwc_bln riders are preparing fo August Works Council elections! 📽 Last week, 100 employees of TikTok Deutschland voted for an Electoral Board (Wahlvorstand), the committee responsibile for running Works Council elections https://www.heise.de/news/Tiktok-Belegschaft-kann-nun-doch-einen-Betriebsrat-waehlen-7178364.html @FWCchannel moved their Electoral Board election to 5 September to have more time to organise. Slower is sometimes better! Especially when there is union busting and intimidation already!
