Earth pin is long for first to get connected so if any leakage to body of equipment from live line inside equipment will pass through the earth and person will safe.They are thicker to give more area of contact so that leakage current will pass with less resistance instead of passing through the working person.

⁠RC Highpass Filter A Resistor-Capacitor Highpass Filter is a simple analog filter that allows high frequencies to pass but attenuates lower frequencies. The cutoff frequency of the filter is determined by Fc=1/2πRC. An RC highpass filter effectively forms a frequency dependent voltage divider. At low frequencies, the capacitor acts as a very high resistance, so the signal is attenuated a lot.
