| 7 | RICHES

READ: Ezekiel 28:1-5
ā¦Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.
James 4:6
Labour not to be rich because riches can make you very proud. God resists the proud. Why should you spend your life labouring for something that will most likely make you proud? Why should you spend your life labouring for something that will make God resist you and fight against you?
Riches can harm you! Giving money to someone can destroy him. The prodigal sonās money destroyed him. āThere is a sore evil which I have seen under the sun, namely, riches kept for the owners thereof to their hurtā (Ecclesiastes 5:13).
Labour not to be rich because riches are hidden and will require your whole life to find them. āAnd I will give thee the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places, that thou mayest know that I, the Lord, which call thee by thy name, am the God of Israelā (Isaiah 45:3).
Riches are often unusable. Riches are often never really enjoyed by their owners. Why is this? Many rich people are unhappy. Many rich people have bad marriages and difficult relationships. Many rich people have warped personal lives.
Research has shown that earning more than a certain amount of money does not change your life significantly. For instance, you simply cannot use the extra toilets and bathrooms in your house all at once. Therefore your life does not change much with the extra toilets and bathrooms.
āA man to whom God hath given riches, wealth, and honour, so that he wanteth nothing for his soul of all that he desireth, yet God giveth him not power to eat thereof, but a stranger eateth it: this is vanity, and it is an evil diseaseā (Ecclesiastes 6:2). | 3 079 |

And I said, Oh that I had wings like a dove! for then would I Ā y away, and be at rest. Lo, then would I wander far off, and remain in the wilderness. Selah.

The Holy Spirit is like a dove. The dove does not just go anywhere. It does not just land at every window. It chooses the safest window and the friendliest spot. Will the Holy Spirit come to your window? Are you friendly towards the Holy Spirit? Anointed people do not just go anywhere. You must be welcoming to the anointing. Anointed people go where they are loved, honoured and respected. Non-anointed people go where there is money to be gotten. But the Holy Spirit goes where He is honoured.
The Holy Spirit does not go everywhere. If you do not believe in the Holy Spirit He will not come to you. If you make fun of spiritual things He will move away. The Holy Spirit can leave at any time. He is very sensitive. If you are sensitive you will notice when His presence has lifted. Where you do not honour the anointing, it will not work!
The Spirit is like a dove. Because of the shape of a doveās head its eyes can only focus on one thing. The Holy Spirit has doveās eyes that are deliberately focused on one thing.

| 10 | PERSISTENT PRAYER
22nd February, 2022
READ: Luke 18:1-8
O LORD God of my salvation, I have cried day and night before thee: Let my prayer come before thee: incline thine ear unto my cry;

You must learn how to pray and never give up.
And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;
Luke 18:1
Jesus told us this parable so that we would pray and NOT FAINT! Donāt stop praying! Keep on with the work of God! God is hearing your prayers.
Persistent prayer requires a lot of faith. You require faith to pray to a God you cannot see. You require faith to pray to a God repeatedly about the same thing. We know that God heard us the first time we prayed. So why do we have to keep onĀ praying?
I donāt know why! But I do know that you require faith to pray in the first place and even more faith to continue praying. This is why Jesus asked, āā¦Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth? (Luke 18:8).
You must learn how to bear long in prayers. I do not know why you have to pray for so long. But according to Jesus, there is a need to bear long in prayers. Jesus Christ is giving us information about how prayers are transmitted and how they are answered. Bearing long is essential for getting your prayers answered.
And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them? I tell you that he will avenge them speedilyā¦

| 12 | EXTRA MILE

READ: Philippians 3:12-20
Whereunto I also labour, striving according to his working, which worketh in me mightily.

Our generation of ministers has the Laodecian spirit of complacency. That spirit speaks today and says, āI am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing.ā God says, you donāt know that you are āwretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked.ā He continues to say, āI counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.ā (Revelation 3:17-18).
You do need something! You are not really rich and you are not really as stable and as safe as you think.
Until you are in your grave, there will always be a little bit more that you can do for God. Canāt you win a few more souls even though you have won many souls for the Lord already? Canāt you plant another church? Canāt you hold more crusades and campaigns and conferences for Jesus? Canāt you build another church? Canāt you give a little bit more? Canāt you write one more book? Instead of resting now why donāt you rest in peace later?
Dear friend, donāt deceive yourself! You can do a little bit more! Most people are not doing as much as they could. A little bit more prayer and a little bit more effort will make a big difference. Why donāt you give a little bit more time to the study of the Word and to achieving of your spiritual goals?
Jesus spoke about going the extra mile. If you would add a few more yards you may achieve the goal of going at least one mile for Jesus. | 2 086 |

| 15 | HOLY SPIRIT PRESENCE

READ: Matthew 13:24-30
And after the sop Satan entered into him. Then said Jesus unto him, That thou doest, do quickly.
John 13:27
Judas received the gift of God and became anointed to work for God. He was one of the twelve disciples sent out to heal, teach and freely minister the power of God. Jesus Himself did not strike out Judas because he was one of His anointed apostles and disciples. He warned him several times but Judas took no heed. Judas walked away from the presence of the Holy Spirit. Judas was destroyed when he went away from the presence of Jesus.
In the parable of the wheat and tares, Jesus revealed a startling truth. He said that the tares and the wheat (those with the presence of God and those without the presence of God) were remarkably similar. If you ever see a picture of wheat and tares you will understand why Jesus warned not to touch the wheat. They are so similar that you will destroy a large portion of wheat in your bid to root out the tares.
The presence of God is the goodness of God, and the presence of His person with you. Having a gift and being able to work for God is not the same as having the presence of God with you.
Those who carry the presence of God and those who do not, are very similar in their appearance. It is often not easy to tell that the presence of God has departed from a minister. Perhaps the only way you may be able to see this difference is in the fruit. Tares or weeds do not bear fruit. Weeds do not bear fruit!
The sign of the Holy Spiritās presence in the early church was the winning of souls and bearing witness of Jesus Christ. Today, the reaping in of dollars, pounds and euros, rather than the reaping of souls, are used as markers of success. We do not need markers of success. We need markers of the presence of the Holy Spirit! | 1 133 |
| 16 | ANSWERED PRAYER

READ: John 16:23-33
Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, THAT YE SHOULD GO AND BRING FORTH FRUIT, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.
John 15:16
There is a great promise of answered prayer based on the condition that you will be fruitful. Jesus desperately wants you to be fruitful. He has linked the answer to your prayers to your fruitfulness. The whole purpose of your salvation is so that you will go and bear fruit. If you are going ahead to be fruitful, you can expect that this promise will be active in your life. Beware of fruitful people! Their prayers are dangerous. Fruitful people can expect their prayers to be answered quickly. Your fruitfulness is the reason for God answering your prayer. Fruitful people are Godās favourite people. They are the people of His purpose. They are the people who have been ordained by Him. He loves answering the prayers of such people. God will answer the prayers of fruitful people.
The promise of God is that your prayers will be answered so that you will be happy. God does want you to be happy. Is there anything that makes you unhappy? What is there that takes your joy away? There is a promise of God so that you will have happiness. There will be answers to your prayers just so that your joy can be full.
To make you joyful is a good enough reason for God to answer your prayers. That is how important you are to God. He loves to answer your prayers just to make you happy. | 994 |
| 17 | TWO PROMISES

READ: John 14:7-14
And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, THAT WILL I DO, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.
John 14:13-14
Today, we will look at two big promises of prayer in the Book of John. Each one of them is a little different and throws some light on the prayer life of a Christian. You must learn to quote Godās Word back to Him. They are the only legal basis you have for praying to God.
First, there is the prayer promise that it will be done! What you ask is what will be done by Jesus. These are the words of Jesus. He will do certain things when you ask in His name. What do you need to be done? What has to be done? Is there anything that needs urgent attention? God will take care of it. God will do what you ask.
Second, there is the prayer promise for those who abide in Him.
IF YE ABIDE IN ME, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
John 15:7
If you have been a Christian for at least three years, I am sure that this scripture can work for you. Why is that? If you have been a Christian for three years it means you have been abiding in Christ for three years.
If you know the Bible relatively well and you understand it, then His Word is abiding in you. If you fulfil these two conditions you can ask for anything you want and it will be done for you. Believe in this great prayer promise. This is one of the greatest verses in the Bible. You ask what you will and it will be done unto you! | 1 043 |
| 18 | Some people can only love a few people. Many women can only love their husband and their two children. Some people only love their tribesmen. Some people only love their country. Many people despise people of another colour. But God loved the whole wide world! God loved the greatest number of people ever.

| 19 | LAW OF MOSES & CURSES

READ: Leviticus 11:1-12
They shall be even an abomination unto you; ye shall not eat of theirĀ flesh, but ye shall have their carcases in abomination.
Leviticus 11:11
Why does the Bible say there will be no more curse in Heaven if all curses have been redeemed by Jesus? Not all curses have been redeemed and removed by Jesus Christ. Here on earth, the wickedness of man has brought about many intractable curses. Heaven is the sure place where there will be no more curse.
Jesus has redeemed us from the curse of the law that came under Moses. The curses that are found in the Law of Moses have been paid for and we are set free from them. Therefore, if you go against the things written in the Law of Moses you will not experience a curse. The Law of Moses is very strong against eating pork. In spite of this law, many Christians eat pork and are blessed as they eat it because they have been redeemed from the curse of the law.
Another law which millions of Christians break is the law on the type of fabric to wear. You are not under a curse because you wear clothes that are a mixture of fabrics. Most clothes today are made up of a mixture of fabrics. Christ has redeemed us from the curse of disobeying that law: Deuteronomy 22:11.
Yet another law which people disobey, is women wearing clothes that pertain to men and men wearing clothes that pertain to women: Deuteronomy 22:5. Women wear trousers that are originally designed for men whilst men in some cultures wear long shirts that look like dresses. Under the Law, you would be an abomination to God and most definitely experience a curse. Christ has redeemed us and paid the price for disobeying that Law. | 1 010 |

If you open up your heart to this great love from God, you will become a new creation and live a totally different life.
