“I wouldn’t go back to that too much. I appreciate that Tottenham recognised me as a very young player, that they invested in me at the time and that together we found good solutions and clubs where I could play and develop.
“Coaches, directors, boards and sporting policies change at clubs, and it’s not for me to comment on their decisions.
“I’m happy Brighton wanted me, that they saw me as part of their project and that they were then prepared to pay a very large amount of money for me.
"That shows me the great confidence the club has in me and I want to repay them in the best possible way.
“It’s difficult for me to answer that – it’s my path, so for me it’s normal. Of course I’m satisfied [at Brighton], especially because the club is doing really well.

It was defeat for Rodrigo Bentancur and Uruguay as they took on Japan this morning.
Rodrigo captained his country for just the second time in his career as Diego Forlan took charge of his first game as national team boss.
However, it ended in disappoinment as Uruguay fell to a 3-1 loss. 'Lolo' played 79 minutes before he was substituted. It was his 77th appearance for his country.

"I guess De Zerbi went into this summer with a list of players that he wanted and they have spent a fortune perhaps on all those players.
"I'm not sure the fees warrant the ability, but no one would have expected them to be bottom of the league.
"I've said many times, that they brought the players in this summer, but they spent an absolute fortune on them. On everyone, I think.
"Van Hecke was a lot of money, Tonali was incredible money, Savio, and Marmoush (on loan) are others as well. It is a long, long three weeks for Tottenham and they simply have to start winning football games when they are back from the international break.

Yang Min-Hyeok made his first start of the tournament as South Korea booked their place in the last eight of the 2026 Asian Games with a 2-0 win over Saudi Arabia on Tuesday afternoon.
Competing for his country in an Under-23 side at the multi-sport event in the football discipline, Yang - who is spending the season on loan at Belgian side KVC Westerlo - played the first 54 minutes of the victory at the Mizuho Rugby field in Nagoya, Japan.
The win over Saudi Arabia saw South Korea finish the group stage with a 100-per-cent record having defeated Qatar 4-1 in their Group D opener last Tuesday - Yang played 18 minutes that day.
The winger and his nation will now face Vietnam in the quarter-finals on Friday.
Held every four years, the legendary Heung-Min Son previously helped Korea to the gold medal at the 2018 edition of the event.
