Multiple MyelomaRaje LabThe Raje Lab in the Cancer Center at the Massachusetts General Hospital is seeking a post-PhD/MD research fellow to gain cellular mechanistic insight into clinical drugs for multiple myeloma. The group routinely uses human and mouse cell lines, mouse models, and patient samples to study the bone marrow tumor microenvironment. Candidates will have ample opportunities to acquire and develop new skills, work closely with the PI and collaborators, and communicate results to the scientific community through conference presentations and peer-reviewed publications while working in a supportive, highly collaborative, and energetic environment. Post-doctoral fellowships are available in the Ott Laboratory (ottlab.org) at the Center for Cancer Research, Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School - Boston, MA, United States. We are a team of dedicated scientists that use the disciplines of computational biology, chemistry, and functional genetics to define novel gene regulatory targets for cancer. Specifically, we are interested in developing early-stage chemical probes to target essential chromatin modulators and transcriptional regulators in lymphoid malignancies (leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma).
Chemical biology of essential gene regulatory factors in cancer
The lab is recruiting a post-doctoral molecular or chemical biologist with a significant interest in using functional, chemical and computational tools to probe the essential gene regulatory factors of lymphoid malignancies. The ideal candidate(s) will have a Ph.D., M.D., or M.D./Ph.D. in molecular biology, pharmacology, oncology, or related discipline. Familiarity with computational tools useful for genomics and epigenomics research is desirable. Available projects in the lab include understanding mechanisms of cancer cell dependency on lineage-defining gene regulatory factors and associated epigenetic machinery, high-throughput assay design and screening for novel chemical probes, functional genetic screening with gene editing technology to identify new therapeutic targets, and genome-wide chromatin structure analysis to understand gene regulatory malfunction in lymphoid malignancies.

This position is for a highly motivated postdoctoral research fellow to work on an exciting project in tumor biology and tissue engineering at Johns Hopkins University at Baltimore, Maryland under PI, Dr. Mostafa Borahay, MD, PhD. Work includes an exciting project examining statins as a new treatment for uterine leiomyomas, the most common tumor of female reproductive system. It also includes building a model for uterus with the three cellular layers, muscle, stroma and epithelium using tissue engineering. Understanding the underlying pathogenesis of the tumor is an important goal. Johns Hopkins University, the institution #1 in NIH funding for more than 30 years. The lab environment provides an exceptional opportunity for state-of-the-art research for an ambitious fellow.
The work will include cellular and extracellular experiments of cell cultures (both conventional and 3D) from primary & immortalized cells. A Postdoctoral Fellow position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Andrew Lane at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, Department of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery.
We use a combination of cutting-edge interdisciplinary approaches in immunology, molecular genetics, and immunohistochemistry to investigate the interaction between the immune system and epithelial cells in health and in chronic inflammatory disease. We are particularly interested in basic mechanisms underlying chronic rhinosinusitis with polyps, including subcellular pathways impacting progenitor cell physiology, innate immune defense, and epithelial repair. At this time, we are specifically focusing on how these pathways impact SARS-CoV-2 infection, in collaboration with virologist team members.

The Laboratory of Molecular Psychiatry in Aging in the Department of Pharmacology & Experimental Therapeutics at Boston University School of Medicine (BUSM) is seeking to fill a full-time position of Postdoc Associate, requiring experimental skills and some experience of data analysis.
The project is a multi-disciplinary study to use human samples, animal models and cell cultures to investigate the pathological pathway and risk factors of Alzheimer's disease. You will join a group of talented and motivated team members for this mission.

The Hemostasis and Thrombosis Research Fellowship at the Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) is designed to provide an additional one to two years of mentoring and training in the laboratory study of coagulation disorders for an MD, either prior to or following completion of a fellowship in either pediatric hematology/oncology or medical hematology/oncology, or a PhD with interest in medical research. The objectives of the fellowship are to provide salary support, laboratory facilities, and mentoring in an area of hemostasis or thrombosis. The fellowship is supervised by Dr. Eric Grabowski, Director of the Cardiovascular Thrombosis Laboratory, and a pediatric hematologist/oncologist, and Dr. Larissa Bornikova, MD, a medical hematologist/oncologist. The fellowship will include an appointment in either the Department of Pediatrics or the Department of Medicine, depending on the applicant’s background. Present laboratory projects include improved diagnostic accuracy in Von Willebrand Disease through microfluidics and real-time image processing of images of platelets adhering to and aggregating upon a surrogate vessel wall in flowing blood and acquired using epifluorescence digital video-microscopy, a study of the role of the VWF propeptide in platelet adhesion/aggregation, evaluation of bleeding in women and girls with menorrhagia, localization of factor VIII and factor VIIa to platelet membranes in real-time in flowing blood, and parallel mouse and cell culture models of enterohemorrhagic hemolytic uremic syndrome as a complement and tissue factor-driven thrombotic microangiopathy. Dr. Grabowski is also the Medical Director of the Massachusetts General Hospital Comprehensive Hemophilia Treatment Center, while Dr. Bornikova is Associate Medical Director. The Patil laboratory in the Center for Immunology and Inflammatory Diseases (CIID) at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral fellow to study allergen-specific B cells in the development and treatment of allergic diseases. Our lab established the first B cell multimer-based enrichment for allergen-specific B cells to study Ara h 2 specific B cells in peanut oral immunotherapy. We are seeking a PhD, MD/PhD, or MD scientist with a background in molecular biology with an interest in bioinformatics to lead follow-up studies in cohorts of food allergy, including peanut oral immunotherapy, but also eosinophilic esophagitis. In order to understand the role of allergen-specific B cells in the development of food allergies and treatment, we propose to utilize these cutting-edge technologies, unifying allergen-specific B cell studies with transcriptomics, proteomics, and functional assays to discover novel therapies for food allergy.

The position involves methodological and applied work in epidemiologic research focused on several collaborative projects. The successful candidate will have opportunities to conduct analysis of high-dimensional data, including high-throughput genomic and metabolomics data from perinatal and psychiatric epidemiologic studies. The Fellow will work closely with Assistant Professor Bizu Gelaye and his team, and will have opportunities for collaboration with a multidisciplinary research team working on studies of perinatal and psychiatric epidemiologic research.
Basic Qualifications

The group focuses on the immunoregulatory and immunotherapy of cardiovascular and pulmonary diseases. The Neurocognitive Aging Section (NAS) at the National Institute on Aging is recruiting a postdoctoral fellow for an annually renewable appointment of up to 5 years. NAS focuses on systems neuroscience in preclinical animal models aimed at understanding the basis of both impaired and successful cognitive aging. Ongoing projects span from molecular biology and quantitative neuroanatomy to non-invasive brain stimulation and neuroimaging. Well-qualified, highly motivated candidates in any of these areas will be considered. Investigators interested in neural network approaches to successful cognitive aging and intervention are especially encouraged to apply.

Post-doctoral fellowship positions are available in the Laboratory of Molecular Genetics at the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI), NIH.
We are looking for curious and motivated individuals to join our lab to explore fundamental questions in mitochondria biology. The lab has been at the forefront in studying mitochondrial genetics and inheritance in fruit flies. Current and future projects are to understand the basic principles guiding the transmission of mitochondrial DNA, and to explore potential mito-nuclear communications that control mitochondrial biogenesis and mitochondrial genome maintenance. Beyond studies in Drosophila, our research horizon has expanded into mitochondrial and metabolic regulations in other model organisms including mouse and Dictyostelium.
