Boar tusks were using in clothing and head gear in some burials from the ancient cemeteries at Mariupol, Ukraine. These decorative elements - and perhaps armour reinforcements - were possible precursors of the famous Aegean boars tusk helmets. The earliest examples probably emerging 2000 - 1800 BC (pictured).
