William Blake was one weak and frail guy, but he wrote many damn good things.
In The Proverbs of Hell he said: “The road of excess leads to the palace of Wisdom.”
We at Roids101 completely agree with William Blake (what a fucked up collaboration), and so — this #101_Reads Special is your big step to the Wisdom palace.
Instead of one book — you get 205 of them.
No legendary editions, no classic stuff, just books that you probably didn’t even know exist. Yeah, like a “20 in 1” DVD: you wouldn’t buy a single movie from it by itself, but those packs always had a hidden gem.
This — by our knowledge — is the biggest collection of books on anabolic steroids and bodybuilding that you can find for free in decent quality PDFs.
Warning: the archive is MASSIVE, make sure you don’t waste your data on it.

Time for #101_Reads
You know that 90% of your cutting happens in the kitchen, not in the gym, right?
Unfortunately, nowadays, nutrition is mostly a fucking scam. Every Instagram girl believes that she’s a PRO nutritionist after reading a couple of articles on the Internet. They even sell their webinars and get a real audience just by posing in a bikini.
No, I'm not jealous. And here’s a nice alternative: “Nutrition and Metabolism in Sports, Exercise and Health” by Jie Kang
Just look at the guy. He looks like he’ll live up to 120 and definitely doesn’t look like someone who’ll promise you a 6-pack in a week if you’re obese.
The book is controversial (like every nutrition book out there), but it’s an excellent (and calm, not selling you anything) source of basic info.
Understanding the right way to diet, to cut calories, why things A and B happen if you do X and Z, is damn vital before you even look at Clenbuterol or other weight loss compounds.
As usual — the PDF is in the next message.

The fuck is: β-Alanine
From the medical point of view, Beta-Alanine is a natural amino acid. It’s a popular supplement that is produced all over the world in large quantities, and it’s extremely cheap.
It’s quite a useless thing by itself, but it’s the most efficient – if not the only – way for a human to get more Carnosine. You already get it in small amounts from all the meat, fish, and chicken you eat.
Ever seen a chicken just BURST from a place? Carnosine is the exact substance that allows dogs, horses, or birds to run like crazy when they sense danger.
As for human effects, Carnosine can give you all the steroidal benefits (just waay less pronounced):
Muscle growth;
Endurance Boost;
Strength Gains.
As an extra benefit, you can take it for a whole year — your body doesn’t get tired of beta-Alanine and doesn’t develop any tolerance.
Jesus Christ, speaking of dad bod transformations... I went to check how other guys from the same era are doing, and turns out — beer belly is one of the best things that can happen to you, considering other options.
Look at Tom Prince: he’s in full “burnt out real estate agent” mode. Funnily enough, the monster (in his previous life, when he won 1997 NPC) IS doing real estate now. Damn, I want to see this guy selling a condo in his PEAK physique.
Turns out he had kidney failure back in 2003, but he survived the transition back to a normal-looking person successfully. Imagine the stress the heart had to deal with, but he’s alive now and seemingly doing well. A good example of how dumb “I’ll cycle everything and die on my peak with a massive corpse” approach. Chill, we all will live to see ourselves becoming damn real estate agents.
So apparently this sticker is not an obvious thing for some people. I just had a “wow that’s one bad photoshop you can tell he’s not a bodybuilder by his face” from a friend.
Well, what a shame — the new generation of bodybuilders doesn’t know the story of Giga Nigga meme, let alone the story of Paul Dilett himself. Turns out, the meme is actually from 2007 (and I first saw it in 2013 or sth like that). Yeah, the pic is photoshopped, but FFS — look at his real arms size, an absolute legend.
Paul is an actual Canadian bodybuilding star, but his peak was back in the 1990’s. He never made it past 4th place on Mr. Olympia, but had gold on North American Championships, twice on European Grand Prix (Germany and France) and finally — on Night of Champions in 1999. Later he dropped bodybuilding and traded his muscles for a perfect dad bod beer belly. There are some recent interviews with him you can check out.
Never expected to talk about memes on this channel, but now you know — when Giga Nigga approves something, you better respect it.
Too much dairy is bad for your Test
Cows are complicated, intelligent animals. They are not that far from some men on the intelligence scale (talking about you, «I don’t need no PCT»-guys). Besides, hormonal levels in cows are almost as complex as human ones.
Cow milk contains an enormous amount of hormones, namely — Estrogen. This is especially true if it’s milk from a pregnant cow (which takes over 75% of all the market).
This study (as well as many other studies, like this one) proves that dairy can significantly decrease your Testosterone, regardless of your age. If you think of alternatives – remember that almond milk is not an option, just like soy milk. And nope, chocolate milk is not an alternative as well. It’s the same damn cow milk with cocoa and sugar in it.

The problem: Sweating
Sometimes you just leave wet marks on the bench, and sometimes you drown in your own bed full of sweat.
The problem: in scientific terms, “sweating like crazy on gear” is called drug-induced hyperhidrosis. You get it because steroids affect your hypothalamus and intervene in the endocrine system. Night sweats, profuse sweating in the gym, you know how fucked up it can get.
Solution: oh boy, there are many. Depending on your condition, you can either solve it with usual antiperspirants or get special prescription ones with aluminum chloride hexahydrate. Plenty of oral compounds are also available.
Most importantly — you need to fight an urge to shower every couple of hours because it’s bad for your skin (which is already irritated by the gear). It can lead to hardcore acne or chronic stuff. Here’s a nice breakdown of the issue by Harward (they talk about the adverse effects of showering daily, but imagine showering over 5 times a day).
The problem: Roid Rage
Ever been so mad at your morning coffee being hot that you smashed the shit out of your kitchen wall? Roid rage is a myth, they said, you can’t blame steroids for being aggressive douche.
The problem is: roid rage is not a myth. Studies like this one do kind of prove that SELF-REPORTED aggression on gear is a thing. Some animal studies even show that anabolic steroids can biologically alter your brain and boost the “aggression centers”.
Side note: what the fuck they literally injected hamsters with steroids.
Solution: just chill. You’re not a hamster, OK? And we’re serious now. In this study we see that gear MAY trigger your irritability, mental distress and hostility, but steroids do NOT make you UNCONTROLLABLY aggressive, and it’s definitely not a GUARANTEED effect. Whatever the mental effects are — there’s nothing that will help better than self-control and basically being on high alert about your possible bursts.
The fuck is: Plant Steroids
The answer is: whatever the fuck plant steroids are — they have nothing to do with the classic anabolic steroids.
We have no idea who is looking for them on Google (probably vegans?) but people do — and there are SOME popular versions of what they can get.
“Natural” Testosterone boosters: from Astragalus to L-Arginine. We have a full-scale guide on navigating in this scam-ridden world of marketing BS, be sure to check it out. In short, it’s 90% bullshit and 10% something that you need to take in concentrated form.
Ecdysterone: scroll up a bit for a nice short breakdown of it above. Even though this substance from spinach is rumoured to be more powerful than Dbol, we don’t have enough info;
Brassinosteroids: possibly anabolic substance group from mustard and quinoa, steroidal by nature, but come on — there’s no way we can be sure with just a few RAT studies.
Opinion: The best way to use plants in bodybuilding is by utilizing their anti-inflammatory effects, not expecting to grow muscles on pure salad. Here’s a classic guide on such plants from 2015.
The fuck is: Deca joints effect
Why is it everyone believes in Deca dick, but Deca’s effect on joints is STILL sometimes called a speculation? Not cool.
The thing: anecdotally, Nandrolone (Deca Durabolin) «lubes» your joints and makes your life more comfortable. No joint pain is one hell of a trait when you’re over 40 (and have tortured your joints in the gym for the last 20 years). Even though Deca is popular for over 50 years now — the effect is sometimes still called a placebo.
Well, fuck, no:
Here’s a study that proves positive effects on bone density and decreasing bone pain;
Here’s a another one that shows how Deca improves joints function AND alleviates pain;
Here’s a 2020 review of the whole subject AND a new double-blind study (same link) that clearly proves Deca’s positive effects.
The funny thing — we have no idea HOW it works, most obvious mechanisms of action were proven to be wrong. However, it DOES work.
Weird ass side effects: S4’s Yellow Tint
So Deca dick and trensomnia don’t surprise you anymore? Here’s one of the weirdest side effects we’ve ever encountered: S4’s yellow tint.
S4 aka Andarine is a SARM, and here you can read our full guide on it. Of course, if you’re ready for some vision fuckery.
On Andarine, everything is yellow. A plain dark room looks yellow, darkness itself is yellow, blue skies and green grass turn yellow, a white piece of paper is banana-colored, and so on. The effect would be fun if it was JUST a color tint. Unfortunately, It’s more like a yellow tint AND significantly lower light tolerance in general. it is, however, not chronic, so you still can try.
The fuck is: Creatine
Aside from being a bodybuilding meme and a favourite steroid of every highschool edgelord — Creatine is actually a pretty damn good muscle builder. No way near the anabolic steroids level, but still — good.
This year we finally have a HUGE meta-analysis (aka fuckton of studies in one place, analysed) on Creatine and its effects. Yeah, we have it since February, but the admin is kinda slow.
Here’s a brief version, in case you’ll find yourself in the middle of a Creatine shitstorm on some forum:
Yes, it works and gives you SOME extra muscle mass: proof and proof
No, it doesn’t really work if you don’t workout: proof
Yes, «loading» and «overdosing» creatine is dumb and ineffective: proof
No, there are no severe side effects, aside from eventually shitting yourself if you take over 10mg a day for a long time: proof
Yes, creatine monohydrate is still the best form, and all other crap is marketing-driven: proof
FInally — no, it’s not a steroid. Proof: common fucking sense

Previous leaks were way more surprising:
Chavo Guerrero between 2004 and 2005 admitted cycling HGH, Deca, and interestingly — taking Arimidex. AIs rarely make it to the testimonies, but here it is;
Lex Luger in his own words, was running a really LOW dose of Dbol: «A guy in the gym said, ‘Buddy, these little blue pills are called Dianabol…’ I took four a day, five milligrams apiece. I gained 15 pounds in about two months»;
Hulk Hogan once gave a good "advice" on regularity: «The most commonly prescribed were Testosterone, Deca Durabolin, and Dianabol. It was part of my daily regimen. Did you take a shower? Yeah. Did you brush your teeth? Yeah. Did you take your steroids? Yeah».
Despite playing «Madmen» on stage, wrestlers are pretty cautious with steroids. The bottom line is simple: even guys that run around in red underwear and scream at people for a living do PCT, take HCG and run low doses. Makes you think, huh?
