See, in whatever you do, ensure you think of value. When clients see that you are a genuinely valuable person and you deliver everything they pay you to do, they will remain loyal to you.

| 8 | INTEGRITY WILL HELP YOU MAKE MORE MONEY!
Yesterday, I asked people to tell me what they learned from my article, and one of the prevalent lessons people learned was integrity.
I was very excited because people pinpointed that lesson. That's one lesson I hoped people learn, and that's why today I want to talk about integrity.
Since I started my entrepreneurial journey, integrity became my core value. Before I started receiving big money, I told myself integrity will always remain my core value.
So when that incident happened, it was very easy for me to refund the client's money.
Now, I can boldly tell you that integrity is paying off big time for me today.
One big deal we've gotten this year is the creation of an app. This deal will take us some months to complete, and it's a lucrative one.
But how did I get this deal? The client didn't give me this deal because I promoted our services about app development. In fact, other people have submitted proposals for this deal, but still, the client came to me and eventually chose us at TEBEBA.
TEBEBA got a big deal without even submitting a proposal. Integrity is a key factor here. I believe strongly the client wouldn't have even reached out in the first place if they didn't perceive me as someone who has integrity.
Simultaneously, while I was closing the deal for the mobile app, I closed a deal of building an e-commerce client for another international client. This too, it was based on integrity. We've been working closely for a while, and from our interactions, they were able to trust me with bigger projects.
That was how just in a week, I closed two huge deals for TEBEBA!
If you are in business, you must never toy with integrity. Yes, you may be put in a situation where you will either choose money or integrity, please choose your integrity.
With integrity, you will make so much money with ease and you will feel fulfilled.
That deal I lost in the article I wrote yesterday can't be compared to the numerous deals I've won over the years. That year, I lost a deal, but I kept my integrity. Till today, my integrity is still paying off.
In whatever you do, be a person of integrity. That's why I will always respect Leke Alder's words, "if you have to move heaven and earth just to honor your words, do it!" Integrity pays.

| 9 | How I Lost My First Multi-Million Naira Deal
Yesterday, I shared some of the losses I've encountered in my journey as an entrepreneur; today I will share another one with you.
You see, in life, never let any failure or difficulty hold you back. Never let any challenge make you give up on your purpose or whatever you have dreamt to do.
Today I am going to share this story publicly for the very first time. This story happened several years ago when I was just starting my publishing and printing journey, but I believe it's time to share it publicly for the first time.
Do you know I lost my very first million naira deal even after I had received payment from the client?
Yes, I had gotten this book publishing and printing contract. It was the biggest project I got that year for a high-net-worth individual.
I invested a lot of time and effort in that project. TEBEBA oversaw the entire editing, proofreading, and publishing of the book.
The work we did on that book exceeded the fee I charged. But I was very hopeful because I knew the author wanted to print, and by being the publisher, I was definitely going to get the printing job.
So I overdelivered like I used to. My editing was excellent. The design and publishing were top-notch.
Then it was time for printing. The book was a very big book. In fact, as at that time, I had never gotten a project as big as that.
So I went for several meetings with the client, met with his team, and I was given several books to explain the kind of book he wanted to print. I saw everything, and I went back to do an estimate, and I sent it to the client.
We sealed the deal. Then we went ahead to do a sample copy and send it to the client. As at this time, they changed the material which, of course, would change the price of the printing.
But beyond that, the timing wasn't favorable at all. The author was launching the book in a couple of days, and they wanted the printing done in the shortest possible time.
I tried convincing them for more days, but it wasn't working. But at the end, I decided I was going to deliver; it would only mean we would have to work day and night, but as at this time, I guess the author already changed their mind because they didn't want any disappointment.
I was asked to refund the over 1 million naira that I had received. As at that time, I had never received such an amount into my account. Even when I stepped into the bank to do that transaction, the cashier attending to me looked at me with respect, not knowing what I was going through.
That very day, I lost my first ever multi-million naira contract. The deal was around 4 million, and I lost it. The over 1 million sent into my account was refunded in full.
This event shook me terribly. I fell sick. It was like I was being battled by village people. Every negative emotion battled with me during this period. It felt like this publishing and printing thing isn't for me.
After everything I did to get the job, every sacrifice and all, I lost it. That book was later printed in Dubai, and it came out exceptionally well.
It was then I knew that something bad can make someone fall sick. I became terribly sick. I had put all my heart into that project that I never imagined losing it. But it happened.
Ah, it was a very challenging time for me. In fact, that year I never got such a project again. But fast forward to many years after that, I had gotten way bigger projects. And what I have accomplished with my publishing and printing, I couldn't have imagined.
I have worked with several HNIs and prominent figures. I later worked on other projects for this person, and I received several recommendations from him as well.
It's at this point I will highlight the lesson you should learn from this story, but I won't be doing that today. Instead, I'd like to ask you a question: what lesson can you derive from this story? Feel free to share with me.

| 11 | For every win I share here, I've experienced losses too.
If you follow me closely, you'll notice I'm not one of those thought leaders who only share their wins without also sharing their losses. I believe it's essential to share both so people can learn effectively.
Today, I'll share some of my losses with you.
Last year, the ambassador of a certain African country to Nigeria reached out to me through someone I presume is his executive assistant. They reached out for a meeting with the ambassador for a possible book project.
How they got our contact in TEBEBA, until today, I can't tell. I was so excited and looked forward to the meeting. But that meeting never happened, and until today, that project didn't materialize.
That was one project I missed last year that I had actually anticipated.
Another project that I lost, and I felt it was a 7 million naira deal some years ago. It was a deal with one powerful figure in Nigeria.
This one was very painful. You know why? We've had several meetings. We've concluded. We've signed the contract. Everything was a done deal.
Then it was time for the client to release payment, but they kept postponing. At one point, I heard the client traveled, and the payment couldn't be made. That was how that project fell through.
I felt this one deeply because I had invested time and effort in sealing the deal. But that was a loss.
I'm sharing this so you will know that it's not always a win. Not everyone who reaches out to TEBEBA eventually works with us.
But despite these losses, God has blessed me with several wins. In the first quarter of this year alone, God has blessed us with deals that I never even imagined.
If I had given up just because I couldn't sign some deals last year, would I be able to sign greater deals this year? Absolutely not.
So no matter your loss, remember that one win can cancel the pain of a million losses.

I spent a seven-figure sum to organize our 3-day retreat. Many years ago, I couldn't even imagine this.

Don't jettison your day of preparation. Don't complain when God is pruning you and preparing you for what is ahead.
Many of us, if only we could see what lies ahead, if only God opens our eyes to see what He has in store for us in the future, then we'll never complain about what He is taking us through today.

| 17 | Outlines Are Important: Here's Why
Writing is a demanding process. As a result, it is important that you know every hack out there that'll ease the writing process for you. One of such hacks is to create an outline.
An outline is a map of your book. It lays out the route your book will take to arrive at its destination. You can liken it to brainstorming on paper so that you have a broad picture of the shape your book will take.
Once that shape is determined, it becomes very easy to write. The outline is not rigid - while using it, still give yourself room to be creative.

As I was there, a young man, likely in his early twenties, approached me. He explained that he aspired to pursue university admission and needed funds to register for the entrance exam. To raise money, he had resorted to selling water bottles.
Curious, I inquired about the amount required to initiate his small business venture. He detailed his daily earnings and how he intended to finance his registration fee.
Despite facing my own challenges at the time, I recognized his determination and genuine need for assistance. Unbeknownst to him, I was dealing with my own car trouble. Nonetheless, I decided to provide him with the financial support he needed, much to his surprise.
I didn't know the young man personally, and if I were to encounter him again, I might not even recognize him. However, the sense of fulfillment I experienced after helping him was profound. It reaffirmed the wisdom of the scripture that declares, "It is more blessed to give than to receive."
Therefore, I urge you to seize every opportunity to extend kindness to others. Cultivate a mindset of benevolence and generosity starting today.
