CherishOS v4.1.4 - UNOFFICIAL Stable | Android 13
📲 : A10/A20/A20e/A30/A40 - 64BIT Gapps
📅 : Oct-19-2022
🧑💼 : Eureka Team
▪️ Changelog:
- Move the part's native backend to AIDL. And the source was completely rewritten to provide best experience of parts.
For more details here
▪️ Download: A10 A20 A30 A40 A20e
Notes:
• Including Gapps
• DRM widevine is not working (black screen) remove /vendor/lib/liboemcrypto.so for L3 to see DRM content.
• FM App dropped for now for refactoring in progress
#CherishOS #exynos7885 #Android13 #T
The device tree is complete. I've refactored the native interfaces of parts (Especially swap on userdata) and move it to AIDL implementation completely rewriting it. Also have added SmartCharge implementation (that charge stop/start at certain percent) to parts.
FM radio app will be removed for temp as i see it has some problems and will take some time to fix.
The ROMs i have in mind is Cherish/Lineage ATM.
DRM widevine (Needed to play DRM-protected contents like Netflix) is currently broken on T. Looks like they changed the way of UUID generation of DRM or something. But currently I don't know the fix so the roms for now will have broken widevine. Decided it's better to build some more ROMs instead. I'll try to find fix for it continuously

For the reason why there are no ROMs recently is because I am busy to maintain ROM/Kernel both. Recently I was moving the native services of parts and fm to AIDL implementation, and next to figure out the fix for dead DRM on T. For kernel picking some commits and figuring out how to fix bugs and building betas. Also I'm a student and my time goes there too. Others are all busy too. Hope you guys will understand, I will post ROMs the time I have the time to do it. So no ETAs please of ROMs.

What score you will give to beta02. I'm checking the user's rating for this one.
Higher score means better.

Note that i built a10/a30/a40 builds as "community" but it is official. I was in a hurry for T roms.
LineageOS cannot be built rn cause of broken source, will be later built again
I'm gonna build pe instead
Since i released beta kernels that can boot T on here: https://t.me/eureka_kernel
I am building Android T derp / lineage now, will probably released trmw
Feel free to suggest roms to build by replying to this post. dont tag me or pm me for it, i wont reply to unknown pm's
Way to go T on Exynos7885
I wanted to say something about best ROM, gaming ROM.
To explain, Android has its own 'layers'.
Kernel is the bottom layer. It actually contacts with the hardware like CPU, camera.
Then there are HALs (Hardware abstraction layer). It's the interface between the kernel and android native executables.
Then there is native executables of android. Like dex2oat, dalvikvm.
Lastly there is Android runtime, the virtual JVM to support android apps which are written on Kotlin/Java.
What I want to say is that JVM can't have optimizations. JVM runs Java bytecode which is not like binary that can be optimized with LTO/-O3 flag etc. The actual performance increase may be gained by putting LTO/-O3 (optimization flags) to app_process(32/64) or dalvikvm etc native executables. But I've never seen any ROM putting those flags on their source neither that will make a big difference. So all roms will have similar performance with same android version. Gaming ROM
Also, best ROM may vary by person. For example I don't like spark os's ui (my personal opinion) but I like derp's and evox's. But there will be someone here that likes spark's ui more then evox or derp. There are much more things for consideration if this ROM is good or not. Testing a rom for some mins won't kill you. Best ROM
Hi community, you are probably wondering why there is so little inactivity from our side. This is based on the following:
We are all studying, have a job or are at school.
We currently have very little time to take care of Android. Royna tries to finish the kernel in his free time. There is also no ETA for it. That doesn't mean that roms will be coming soon after the kernel is ready... because of our jobs.
Please understand this and bring more patience with you in the future. Unfortunately, we can no longer offer you as many releases as we did a year ago. Nevertheless, we're not gone and at least we'll keep you up to date with a few updates!
- Eureka team❤️
Gonna take some time to fix 😂
(note that android 13 requires 4.14 kernel minimum)
