📚Conventions Related to Nuclear liability (Topic : I.R. ) There are 3 major international conventions related to Nuclear liability. ✅ The Paris Convention on Third Party Liability in the Field of Nuclear Energy ( Paris Convention of 1960 ) ----- It's a OECD convention ✅ The Vienna Convention on Civil Liability for Nuclear Damage ( Vienna Convention of 1963 ) ---- by International Atomic Energy Agency IAEA ✅ The Convention on Supplementary Compensation for Nuclear Damage of 1997 ( CSC Convention ) ---- by International Atomic Energy Agency IAEA Note - India is not a party to The Vienna or the Paris Conventions , But India signed the CSC on 2010 on the basis of its national law , the CLND Act (Civil Liability for Nuclear Damage Act, 2010). Note - A state which is a party to either Vienna or Paris Convention could also become a party to CSC.            A state which is not a party to either of these conventions could also become a party to the CSC if its national law on nuclear liability is in compliance with the provision of the CSC. ( India's case )

📚Virgin Forests :- (Topic : Environment & Ecology) * Also known as "primary forests" , "primeval forests". * These are "old-growth forests" that has attained great age without significant disturbance, and thereby exhibits unique ecological features and might be classified as a climax community. " The FAO of the UN defines primary forests as naturally regenerated forests of native tree species where there are no clearly visible indications of human activity and the ecological processes are not significantly disturbed. *Virgin Forests (old-growth forests) tend to have large trees and standing dead trees , multi-layered canopies with gaps that result from the deaths of individual trees and course woody debris on the forest floor. * These forests are often biologically diverse , and home to many rare species and threatened species of plants and animals * Examples of Virgin Forests in India ---- Regions of Himalayas , Central India, Western Ghats and some extent of North East have patches of Virgin Forests.
