In my opinion, the #FightBack event this evening at The Inn At Cotton Hall was a smashing success. We tripled the number of attendees from the last event in March. An attendance this evening of over 250!!! I will be posting photos and videos of the event soon. I know that there were so many of you that could not be there in person but were with us in spirit!!! WOW!!! John Exum and I just finished a fabulous meal of homemade lasagne courtesy of REAL Patriots Maria and Darin Wood of Georgia. We were joined by their son, Henry, and Maria’s sister, Christi. We also had a great time at Tomotley talking about the state of our nation and the world, President Trump, and Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ dominated the conversation. Maria and Darin have once again donated the food for the #FightBack rally on Saturday. God blesses me with placing these God-fearing REAL Patriots in my life. I love them. À mes amis français, bonne fête nationale! I was blessed with the privilege of spending a good four years of my life in France, both studying and working. For me it was a culture shock to say the least, but I grew to love it. The French are a special people. They are a proud people. In fact, some even boasted to me that they knew the birthday of their own language – February 14, 842 from what is known as the Oaths of Strasbourg. (I believe someone told me that during the three years I spent in Strasbourg.) Today, however, commemorates July 14, 1789. The French might not say the words, “Happy Bastille Day,” but they celebrate it because they remember what it was. Fed up with a government that ruled over them without regard for them, ordinary people boldly stormed what was then a heavily fortified political prison and freed the prisoners. That day was the bloody beginning of the end of France’s absolute monarchy, and it forever changed the course of both French and European history. As I reflect on my experience in France, I recall traces of that revolutionary fervor. It was the spring of 2006. France’s then Prime Minister Dominique de Villepin was trying to pass a law that would be known as the Contrat de Première Embauche (Contrat of First Employment). This law would have allowed French employers to fire young employees (under age 26) after a two-year stint without requiring the employer to provide reasons for the dismissal. The young people whom this law supposedly intended to help did not agree with it. They made their voices heard with mass protests. I recall laughing to myself at how the French people’s protest of this was a mere continuation of how they seemed to protest everything. I believe I also mocked the government for caving in to the mob’s demands. Today I do not mock France’s “Mob rule.” I instead marvel at how that government listened to its people. I long for a return to a time when governments of western nation states respect the will of their people. That begins with honest elections. Father God, I ask that you wrap your arms around Lin and his family as we rest tonight. Bring his family peace in the midst of these difficult times, and draw them closer to you. We know this time on this earth is short, but through Jesus Christ, our Savior, we can rest in Heaven for an eternity. Amen 🙏 We love you, Lin ❤️🙏🇺🇸

I learned this afternoon that my sister, Diane Wood Stern, died this morning at her home in Milton, PA from a cardiac event. Diane was 72. I loved her dearly in life and I always will love her. She was always my best friend as we grew up together. I will miss her every day and pray that we will be reunited in Heaven. Please pray for me and sister Linda as the LORD guides us through this sudden loss. God bless each of you. Lin 🙏🙏🙏
