🇬🇧 Not a recommendation but an example of a good marketing strategy - here is an article written by a vice president of marketing of Lady Bug company. I like when marketing people have some technical basis and understand what they are talking about.
I did mention Lady Bug power sensors earlier on this channel - when wrote a list of affordable and portable devices. I've never touched their sensors but as I can see by the case quality and parameters, they are not worth recommending for professional use. But can be a nice addition to hobby lab I assume.

🇬🇧 After posting story about prev video in my Insta I got questions in DM like what is high-speed. I don't work with high-speed PCBs, but many of microwave related content that I share is applicable. As I said before I don't want to make a youtube channel and record videos with explanations, so I tried to find a video.
here it is - a #youtube video from Altium channel. The explanation is a little messy (hmm it seems I started to give my comments quite often! Do you like it?). First of all? the presenter didn't name the axes at his graphs (I wanted to close the video at this moment). So I will explain - he drew one bit - a "1" signal. And the axes are amplitude and time. He explains that high-speed doesn"t always mean high clock. But obviously if the rise time is low you can't put two 1's close to each other - they will intersect. In THAT terms high-speed related to freq clock! Next - to understand why rise time is important you should learn Fourier rows. And when you feel that you will understand that sometimes even if clock is not very high, the PCB trace and coaxial connectors should work up to much higher freq (several times higher).

🇬🇧 #youtube video with a very good point in the beginning. Diff pair type transmission lines and high-speed design is not my field, but I often say that non-Rf engineer should learn about S parameters and waves propagation for being able to make a high-speed PCB.
I disagree with the visualization of time and frequency domain at 8:05. This can confuse a lot! Frequency domain is when we perform the graphs with x-axis being frequency and in time domain x-axis is time!!
Also, I think it would have been very nice if they say in the beginning why need to know wave propagation and RF design in high speed - the signal is not harmonical (not sinus). - Learn Fourier row for that.
So, they messed a little - they wanted to say that usually when the signal is like meander, we use time domain - yes, we do ( we usually use an oscilloscope). And with sinus signal we use frequency domain (use a VNA and Spectrum Analyser). But the pictures they provided are confusing!

🇬🇧 I rarely give my comments, but my readers should be aware that not everything that I post (and you read on the internet) is 100% true. I post here good resources, but I do not agree with every word in the texts and videos.
In this #appnote by WE VIA pads are investigated. It is a good research idea, and it is done quite professionally. But I can't see the point in measuring smth up to 10 GHZ using angle PCB connectors and that strange DIY calibration (for those who think that calibration on the PCB eliminates connectors and microstrip line - no, it doesn't work like that). And lastly - I couldn't find the PCB material description, but it looks to me as an FR4, and if it is -this research is useless.
