Community, When we first launched FastBTC, our goal was simple: to provide a smooth and reliable way for users to transfer Bitcoin (BTC) into and out of the RSK network. At that time, the native RSK bridging tools for BTC were not yet efficient or user-friendly enough to support the kind of activity our ecosystem required. FastBTC filled that gap and became a core piece of infrastructure for many of you. Over time, the RSK team has made significant improvements to their native BTC transfer methods. These upgrades have now matured to the point where they provide a secure, efficient, and user-friendly experience that meets the needs of our community without requiring a separate system like FastBTC. What this means: - FastBTC will be sunset by November 1, 2025: After this date, FastBTC transfers will no longer be supported. - Use RSK’s native BTC transfer methods: Going forward, all BTC in/out operations should be done directly through RSK’s native tools. - Better ecosystem alignment: This change reduces duplication, streamlines operations, and ensures users benefit from the most up-to-date, audited infrastructure available. Why this is good for the community: - Security: Native RSK tools now provide stronger guarantees and are actively maintained by the core protocol team. - Efficiency: Transfers are smoother, faster, and more reliable than when we started. - Focus: Retiring FastBTC allows us to focus resources on building the next generation of products and features for Sovryn and the wider ecosystem. We want to thank everyone who used and supported FastBTC over the years. It played an important role in the growth of our ecosystem, and this transition is a sign of progress—RSK’s infrastructure has caught up to the needs of the community.

Since last week, Sovryn lending pools and margin trading have been in maintenance mode following a report from our Immunefi bug bounty program. Important: Users can still manage and maintain their existing loans. The pause only affects the creation of new loans and margin positions. The issue requires a change to the smart contract, and therefore a community vote. SIP-0087 outlines the proposed fix and how it strengthens pool security going forward. 🔧 Origins Platform Update - July 10-11 Sovryns, We're implementing critical system updates to enhance your Origins experience. The platform will enter maintenance mode for 24 hours starting Thursday, July 10th, reopening Friday, July 11th. What's New: - Personal Portfolio Page - Track all your project purchases in one unified dashboard - Enhanced UI performance and fixes - Critical backend infrastructure improvements ⚠️ Important: Deposit Address Update Required After maintenance, all users must generate fresh deposit addresses. Previous deposit addresses will be deprecated - do not send funds to old addresses. 13.8 Million SOV Returned to Bitocracy-Controlled Adoption Fund Vault on Rootstock As outlined in SIP-0079, 13.8 million SOV from the Adoption Fund was transferred to the Exchequer and bridged to Ethereum to participate in BOB’s rewards program. While the campaign is still ongoing, it has been determined that maintaining the SOV on BOB no longer provides any benefit to Sovryn during the current phase of the Spice rewards program. Therefore, the decision was made to remove the funds from the BOB treasury, bridge them back to Ethereum, and then to Rootstock. After careful verification, the entire 13.8 million SOV has now been successfully sent to the Adoption Fund Vault on Rootstock, which is fully controlled by Bitocracy. This ensures that the funds are once again under the governance of SOV stakers and can be allocated according to community decisions. Vault Address ⬇️ 0x05f4f068DF59a5aA7911f57cE4f41ebFBcB8E247 This completes the return cycle initiated under SIP-0079 and ensures that these SOV tokens are once again transparently and securely managed by Sovryn’s on-chain Bitocracy governance system.

Adoption Fund $SOV Update The 13.8M $SOV originally transferred under SIP-0079 are now being returned to the Adoption Fund on Rootstock. The process involves two steps: • $SOV will first be bridged from BOB to Ethereum, which takes approximately one week • After that, it will be bridged from Ethereum to Rootstock and returned to the original Adoption Fund address Note: This will result in a drop in TVL on BOB. It will not increase TVL on Rootstock, as the funds are being returned to their designated holding address.
