Whenever she came to him, he would stand up for her, take her by the hand, kiss her, and seat her in his place. And when he visited her, she would stand up for him, take him by the hand, kiss him, and seat him in her place.” [Sunan Abī Dāwūd, 5217; Ṣaḥīḥ]

A town in southeastern Spain, Jumilla, has passed a rule banning religious gatherings in public sports and cultural centres, a move that effectively stops Muslims from celebrating Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha in these spaces. The measure, introduced by the conservative People’s Party and proposed by the far-right Vox party, limits the use of municipal facilities strictly to athletic activities or events organised by local authorities. Critics say this is a clear act of discrimination, with Spain’s Migration Minister calling it “shameful” and Islamic associations denouncing it as “institutionalised Islamophobia” that undermines constitutional rights to religious freedom.

O believers! Be mindful of Allāh and let every soul look to what deeds it has sent forth for tomorrow. And fear Allāh, for certainly Allāh is All-Aware of what you do. And do not be like those who forgot Allāh, so He made them forget themselves. It is they who are truly rebellious. The residents of the Fire cannot be equal to the residents of Paradise. Only the residents of Paradise will be successful. Had We sent down this Qurʾān upon a mountain, you would have certainly seen it humbled and torn apart in awe of Allāh. We set forth such comparisons for people, so perhaps they may reflect. He is Allāh - there is no god worthy of worship except Him: Knower of the seen and unseen. He is the Most Compassionate, Most Merciful. He is Allāh - there is no god except Him: the King, the Most Holy, the All-Perfect, the Source of Serenity, the Watcher of all, the Almighty, the Supreme in Might, the Majestic. Glorified is Allāh far above what they associate with Him in worship! He is Allāh: the Creator, the Inventor, the Shaper. He alone has the Most Beautiful Names. Whatever is in the heavens and the earth constantly glorifies Him. And He is the Almighty, All-Wise. [Sūrah al-Ḥashr, Verse 18-24]

The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has fined Sri Lankan footballer Mohamed Thilham USD 2,000 for displaying a message in support of Palestine during an international fixture in Colombo. The incident occurred on 10 June, following the AFC Asian Cup qualifying match between Sri Lanka and Chinese Taipei. Thilham’s gesture, while considered a breach of international football regulations, was reviewed by the AFC after receiving a formal explanation. Sri Lanka Football President Jaswar Umar confirmed that mitigating circumstances helped reduce what could have been a more severe penalty. As a result, Thilham was handed a USD 2,000 fine instead of facing harsher sanctions. He has been given a one-month window to pay the fine, with reports indicating at least two weeks still remaining to do so.

An investigation by the BBC World Service has uncovered evidence of more than 160 cases in which children were shot by Israeli forces in Gaza. In 95 of those cases, the children were shot in the head or chest. The investigation found that most of the victims were under the age of 12, highlighting the extreme vulnerability of Gaza’s youngest residents during the ongoing conflict. These documented cases span from the initial weeks of the ongoing genocide up to July of this year, painting a devastating picture of the toll the violence has taken on Palestinian children. "Some of the cases we looked at like children were allegedly shot while fleeing battle zones, but many others were shot while playing outside their tents in humanitarian zones and some in areas the IDF themselves had marked as evacuation corridors," the investigation said. The findings raise serious concerns about the use of force and the lack of protection for civilians in one of the world’s most densely populated and besieged areas.

ʿĀʾishah رضي الله عنها, the wife of Allāh's Messenger ﷺ, reported Allāh's Messenger ﷺ as saying: Kindness is not to be found in anything but that it adds to its beauty and it is not withdrawn from anything but it makes it defective. [Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 2594a]

Seek Allāh’s help and be patient. Indeed, the earth belongs to Allāh alone. He grants it to whoever He chooses of His servants. The ultimate outcome belongs only to the righteous. [Sūrah al-ʾAʿrāf, Verse 128]

Allāh will give him reward for affliction, and would give him something better than it in exchange.” She (ʾUmm Salamah رضي الله عنها) said: “When Abū Salama رضي الله عنه‎ died. I uttered (these very words) as I was commanded to do by the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ. So Allāh gave me better in exchange than him. (I was taken as the wife of the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ).” [Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 918b]
