German football club Mainz 05 have lost their appeal against a court ruling that ordered them to pay former player Anwar El Ghazi €1.5 million (£1.3m; $1.7m) for wrongful dismissal. “Regular defeats on the football pitch clearly aren’t enough for the board of the club so they keep coming back for more losses in the German courts.” El Ghazi posted on X. El Ghazi’s contract was terminated on November 3, 2023, following social media posts he made regarding the the genocide by the occupation forces in Gaza. The club had first suspended him in October 2023, calling his pro-Palestinian post “unacceptable.” Although the suspension was later lifted after Mainz claimed El Ghazi had shown “remorse,” the player later clarified that he did not “regret” or “distance himself” from his original statement. Shortly after, Mainz terminated his contract.

Abū Ayyūb al-Anṣārī رضي الله عنه reported that Allāh's Messenger ﷺ said: If you were not to commit sins, Allāh would have swept you out of existence and would have replaced you by another people who have committed sin, and then asked forgiveness from Allāh, and He would have granted them pardon. [Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 2748b]

Narrated Abū Hurayrah رضي الله عنه‎: The Prophet ﷺ said, "If Allāh loves a person, He calls Jibrīl saying, 'Allah loves so and-so; O Jibrīl! Love him.' Jibrīl would love him and make an announcement amongst the inhabitants of the Heaven. 'Allah loves so-and-so, therefore you should love him also,' and so all the inhabitants of the Heaven would love him, and then he is granted the pleasure of the people on the earth." [Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 3209]

💫 Sayyid al-Istighfār: The Best Prayer for Seeking Forgiveness Narrated Shaddād ibn Aws رضي الله عنه: The Prophet (ﷺ) said "The most superior way of asking for forgiveness from Allāh is: اللهم أنت ربي، لا إله إلا أنت ، خلقتني وأنا عبدك، وأنا على عهدك ووعدك ما استطعت أعوذ بك من شر ما صنعت أبوء لك بنعمتك علي، وأبوء بذنبي، فاغفر لي فإنه لا يغفر الذنوب إلا أنت The Prophet (ﷺ) added. "If somebody recites it during the day with firm faith in it, and dies on the same day before the evening, he will be from the people of Paradise; and if somebody recites it at night with firm faith in it, and dies before the morning, he will be from the people of Paradise." [Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 6306] Transliteration: Allāhumma anta rabbī, lā ilāha illā ant, khalaqtanī wa-anā ʿabduk, wa-anā ʿalā ʿahdika wa-waʿdika mā’istaṭaʿt, aʿūdhu bika min sharri mā ṣanaʿt, abūʾu laka bi-niʿmatika ʿalayy, wa-abūʾu laka bidhanbī, fa’ighfir lī, fa-innahu lā yaghfir al-dhunūba illā ant. Translation: O Allāh, You are my Lord, there is no God but You. You created me and I am Your servant, and I abide by Your covenant and promise (to honour it) as best as I can. I seek refuge in You from the evil that I have committed. I acknowledge Your favor upon me, and I acknowledge my sin, so forgive me, for surely none can forgive sins but You.

Abu Huraira رضي الله عنه reported Allah's Messenger ﷺ as saying: Do you know who is poor? They (the Companions of the Prophet ﷺ) said: A poor man amongst us is one who has neither dirham with him nor wealth. He ﷺ replied: The poor of my Ummah would be he who would come on the Day of Resurrection with prayers and fasts and Zakat but (he would find himself bankrupt on that day as he would have exhausted his funds of virtues) since he hurled abuses upon others, brought calumny against others and unlawfully consumed the wealth of others and shed the blood of others and beat others, and his virtues would be credited to the account of one (who suffered at his hand). And if his good deeds fall short to clear the account, then his sins would be entered in (his account) and he would be thrown in the Hell-Fire. [Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 2581]

Reminder: Tomorrow is Monday. The Prophet ﷺ used to fast on Mondays. Abū Qatāda al-Anṣārī رضي الله عنه reported that Allāh's Messenger ﷺ was asked about fasting on Monday, whereupon he said: It is (the day) when I was born and revelation was sent down to me. [Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 1162e]

O Allāh, accept my duʿāʾ, grant me what I hope for, and do not turn me away disappointed. Indeed, You never break Your promise.

YouTube has quietly deleted over 700 videos and shut down the accounts of three major Palestinian human rights organizations: Al-Haq, Al Mezan, and the Palestinian Centre for Human Rights. Their channels documented Israeli war crimes, survivor testimonies, and investigations including the killing of journalist Shireen Abu Akleh. The takedowns came soon after the US sanctioned these groups for cooperating with the International Criminal Court. Advocates say this is an attempt to erase Palestinian voices and hide evidence of Israel’s crimes.

Former military prosecutor for the occupation forces, Major General Yifat Tomer-Yerushalmi, was arrested after leaking a video showing soldiers abusing a Palestinian detainee. She was arrested following a scandal that erupted after the leak and she reportedly resigned from her position before disappearing from public view. Netanyahu described the leak as perhaps the most “severe public relations attack” on Israel since its founding. Torture and abuse of Palestinian by the occupation forces have been reported for years, but such cases have increased during the ongoing genocide in Gaza, with some politicians even defending the practice. According to the United Nations, at least 75 Palestinian have died in occupation prisons since October 7, 2023. Even the remains of Palestinians returned by the occupation show signs of torture, with many bearing marks on their bodies, and some still blindfolded or handcuffed. Several bodies were found with missing limbs or teeth, while others appeared to have been burned.

Satellite images reveal pools of blood and smoke rising above the city of El Fasher in Darfur, where the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) have unleashed mass killings of civilians. The apparent masses were seen in a maternity hospital, all over residential neighborhoods, on the outskirts of the city and by military bases of the opposing Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF).

In the past few days in El‑Fasher, one of the key cities in the Darfur region of Sudan, more than 1,500 civilians have been killed by the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) during its takeover. Independent researchers using satellite imagery say they’ve observed clusters of objects consistent with human bodies and large red-stained ground areas, pointing to possible mass killings. The grave allegations include summary executions, attacks on hospitals and mosques, and large-scale civilian displacement, raising fears of widescale atrocity in Darfur.

Abū Hurayrah رضي الله عنه‎ reported: The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ used to say while prostrating himself: اللهم اغفر لي ذنبي كله دقه وجله وأوله وآخره وعلانيته وسره [Allāhumma ighfir lī dhanbī kullahu, diqqahu wa jillahu, wa awwalahu wa ākhirahu, wa ʿalāniyatahu wa sirrah] O Lord, forgive me all my sins, small and great, first and last, open and secret. [Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 483]

At last, when the Trumpet will be blown with one blast, and the earth and mountains will be lifted up and crushed with one blow, on that Day the Inevitable Event will have come to pass. The sky will then be so torn that it will be frail, with the angels on its sides. On that Day eight mighty angels will bear the Throne of your Lord above them. You will then be presented before Him for judgment, and none of your secrets will stay hidden. [Sūrah al-Ḥāq̈q̈ah, Verse 13-18]

Narrated ʿĀʾishah رضي الله عنها: That she borrowed a necklace from Asmāʾ رضي الله عنها and it was lost. Allāh's Messenger ﷺ sent some of his companions to look for it. During their journey the time of prayer was due and they prayed without ablution. When they returned to the Prophet ﷺ they complained about it. So the Divine Verse of Tayammum was revealed. Usayd ibn Huḍayr said (to ʿĀʾishah), "May Allāh reward you handsomely. By Allāh, whenever you have a difficulty, Allāh took you out of it and brought with it, a blessing for the Muslims." [Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 3773]

Righteousness is not in turning your faces towards the east or the west. Rather, the righteous are those who believe in Allāh, the Last Day, the angels, the Books, and the prophets; who give charity out of their cherished wealth to relatives, orphans, the poor, needy travellers, beggars, and for freeing captives; who establish prayer, pay zakah, and keep the pledges they make; and who are patient in times of suffering, adversity, and in the heat of battle. It is they who are true in faith, and it is they who are mindful of Allāh. [Sūrah al-Baqarah, Verse 177]
