"Do not be fooled by one who recites the Qurʾān. His recitation is but speech – but look to those who act according to it." — ʿUmar ibn al-Khaṭṭāb رضي الله عنه [Al-Khatib, Iqtida’ Al-‘Ilm Al-‘Amal no. 109]

💫 Sayyid al-Istighfār: The Best Prayer for Seeking Forgiveness Narrated Shaddād ibn Aws رضي الله عنه: The Prophet (ﷺ) said "The most superior way of asking for forgiveness from Allāh is: اللهم أنت ربي، لا إله إلا أنت ، خلقتني وأنا عبدك، وأنا على عهدك ووعدك ما استطعت أعوذ بك من شر ما صنعت أبوء لك بنعمتك علي، وأبوء بذنبي، فاغفر لي فإنه لا يغفر الذنوب إلا أنت The Prophet (ﷺ) added. "If somebody recites it during the day with firm faith in it, and dies on the same day before the evening, he will be from the people of Paradise; and if somebody recites it at night with firm faith in it, and dies before the morning, he will be from the people of Paradise." [Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 6306] Transliteration: Allāhumma anta rabbī, lā ilāha illā ant, khalaqtanī wa-anā ʿabduk, wa-anā ʿalā ʿahdika wa-waʿdika mā’istaṭaʿt, aʿūdhu bika min sharri mā ṣanaʿt, abūʾu laka bi-niʿmatika ʿalayy, wa-abūʾu laka bidhanbī, fa’ighfir lī, fa-innahu lā yaghfir al-dhunūba illā ant. Translation: O Allāh, You are my Lord, there is no God but You. You created me and I am Your servant, and I abide by Your covenant and promise (to honour it) as best as I can. I seek refuge in You from the evil that I have committed. I acknowledge Your favor upon me, and I acknowledge my sin, so forgive me, for surely none can forgive sins but You.

Iran's foreign minister says the country is not currently negotiating with the US to end the war and "does not intend" to do so. Abbas Araghchi's comments came as US President Donald Trump's press secretary said talks were "ongoing" and "productive". Araghchi said the US had been sending ideas via mediators - at one stage appearing to refer to a 15-point plan the US is reported to have passed to Iran. Without explicitly rejecting the plan outright, the foreign minister repeated some of the arguments earlier outlined by an unnamed Iranian official in a five-point counter-proposal.

An 18-month-old Palestinian child, Karim Abu Nassar, was reportedly subjected to severe abuse by Israeli forces in central Gaza, allegedly to pressure his detained father into giving a confession. The incident occurred near Al-Maghazi camp, where the child and his parents were stopped while attempting to buy basic necessities. Eyewitnesses say the father, Osama, was separated from his son, forced toward a military checkpoint, and detained after being interrogated. During this time, the toddler was allegedly held and physically abused for several hours. Reports claim he was burned with cigarettes, pricked, and injured with metal objects while his father was forced to witness the ordeal. After approximately 10 hours, the child was returned to his family through the International Red Cross at Al-Maghazi market. Medical assessments confirmed visible injuries, including burn marks on his legs. His father remains in detention.

Allāh’s blessings are limitless. He provides for the smallest ant and the mightiest whale Trust in His plan. 🐜🐋

اللهم انك عفو تحب العفو فاعف عنّي Allāhumma innāka ʿafūwwun tuḥibbul ʿafwa fa-ʿfu ʿannī Oh Allah, You are the Most Forgiving, and You love forgiveness, so forgive me

Narrated by Ubādah ibn aṣ-Ṣāmit رضي الله عنه that the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said: “Whoever gets up at night and says: 'Lā ilāha illAllāhu, waḥdahu lā sharīka lahu, lahul-mulku wa lahul-ḥamdu, wa huwa ʿalā kulli shaiʾin qadīr. Alḥamdulillāhi wa-SubḥānAllāhi wa-Lā ʾilāha ʾillā llāhu w-Allāhu Akbar wa-Lā ḥawla wa-lā quwwata ʾillā bi-llāh.' لا إله إلا الله وحده لا شريك له، له الملك وله الحمد وهو على كل شيء قدير الحمد لله وسبحان الله ولا اله الا الله والله اكبر ولا حول ولاقوة إلا بالله (None has the right to be worshipped but Allāh. He is the Only One and has no partners. For Him is the Kingdom and all the praises are due for Him. He is Omnipotent. Praise be to Allāh and Glory be to Allāh, and There is no God but Allāh, and Allāh is Greatest And there is neither Might nor Power Except with Allāh). And then says: Allāhumma-ġfirlī اللهم اغفر لي (O Allāh! Forgive me). Or invokes (Allāh), he will be responded to, and if he performs ablution (and prays), his prayer will be accepted." [Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 1154]

At least 400 people have been killed and 250 injured after Pakistan launched an airstrike on a drug rehabilitation hospital in Kabul, Afghanistan. Afghan authourties say the Pakistani military regime violated Afghanistan’s airspace and targeted a drug rehabilitation, resulting in the death and injury of addicts who were undergoing treatment. Pakistan dismissed the claim as “false and aimed at misleading public opinion”, saying it only targeted military installations in Kabul.

Indeed, it is We Who sent this [Qurʾān] down on the Night of Decree. And what will make you realize what the Night of Decree is? The Night of Decree is better than a thousand months. That night the angels and the Spirit descend, by the permission of their Lord, for every decreed matter. It is all peace until the break of dawn. [Sūrah al-Qadr]
