It has come to our attention that some users are reporting that their group is listed in the common groups of @NekoXBot when new groups are created. Also, there are rumors that @NekoXBot is used for spying and we think it is necessary to clarify this rumor.
1. Creating a new group without inviting anyone is a feature of NekoX, which is not supported by the official client. This feature is documented in the README and the corresponding code is here.
2. To do this, NekoX will invite @NekoXBot and kick it out of the group as soon as the group is created and remove the kick message. However, sometimes the kick messages are not deleted.
3. @NekoXBot is NOT in the created group, as you can confirm in the other official clients.
4. Some users have reported that their group is listed in the common group of @NekoXBot. This only happens to some users and we will try to resolve this issue.
NekoX is completely free and open source, and if you purchase a third-party code auditing service for NekoX to ensure security, you are welcome to do so.
