Solving the water problem is numero uno! Great to see all of your action items. Here is a post I wrote a year ago with many additional links, like a great company that provides hand pumps for wells, and medical supply wholesalers etc... https://vinceguerra.com/2022/07/15/prepping-for-armageddon-with-seven-kids-in-tow/

Even if you’re not a fan of Trump, I hope you recognize the accuracy of his standpoints. What do we do with the information? Prep, not panic. We are not called to act and move and determine from a place of fear. We can confidently go to our Wonderful Counselor to learn of His perfect plans for our lives –even if only a small portion of our path is lit at a time. Receive His wisdom with joy and gladness! I choose to see the crumbs and hints Trump et al leave as a gifts. I choose to be grateful that I am awake and alive, and have been given clues and time to prepare. All of us can emulate the Proverbs 31 woman.

I think we can consider some of his points without getting caught in a current that would sweep us away from being focused, deliberate and making sound choices. What Macgregor states is not unreasonable, and it’s something that should be on our radar. What do we do with the information? Prep, not panic. We don’t need to entertain every fantastical scenario. Just have some, “situational awareness” so you are not caught off guard. A good rule of thumb is to prep so you can stay at home for one month. What your family requires will look different than what another family requires. It’s imperative we go to the Lord and ask for His direction as we do not want to waste resources, time and energy prepping.

5 of 5 Can you imagine walking into a beautiful space –maybe yours is a bright and happy garden or an intimate and cozy library– and there is your Counselor, waiting just for you, just at this moment, so delighted that you went to Him first, that you put Him above all. We can approach Him without pause or perturbation, and without pageantry or pretense. Our Beloved Counselor tells us there is nothing too insignificant about our lives. Could we not return that love and devotion by making Him a part of every aspect of our lives? When we leave the house, we grab our wallets, sunglasses and keys with little thought. It’s automatic, standard, normal, typical. How would our lives improve, our relationship with the Lord deepen if we made going to Him with everything automatic, standard, normal, typical? There’s two key components to this. First, we make it a habit, a routine to go to Him first. Second, we bring Him everything. The tiny, ordinary day-to-day decisions –not just the monumental hardships and dilemmas we face. We do it with gladness, joy and expectation. In return we receive Blessed Assurance that His plan for our lives is flawless. God is not aloof, unaware, conniving. He is affectionate, connected, designing. Go to Him.

4 of 5 In an instant His Spirit changed my assumption and perception. I believe He does these things for us because He loves us and He honors our desire to know Him more. How amazing is it that He gives us the choice to approach and advance, or to withhold and withdraw? I read something years ago that impacted me: when God feels far away, it’s because we have pulled back. His presence in our lives does not recede; we are the ones who sidestep, avoid and postpone. How much more peace and joy, quiet strength, and blessed assurance would we experience if we went to Him, our Perfect, Divine and Loving Counselor? What would our lives, what would our relationship look like with Him if we counseled with Him about everything?

3 of 5 I was listening to a friend speak and the way she described her relationship with the Lord was inspiring and encouraging. Then she called the Lord her counselor. In an instant, the Holy Spirit opened my eyes to a new perspective, a new possible way for me to draw closer to the Lord. What would it be like, how would my life change for the better, if I knew I could approach the most Trustworthy? The only One Who knows every detail about my life. The only One Who cared enough to make sure I was born and set apart. The only One Who is capable of giving me the only advice I will ever need. The only One Who extends me the grace I don’t deserve. The only One Who loves me without condition. The only One Who will never disappoint, never abandon, and never forget me. Why wouldn’t I go to Him for counsel? Why wouldn’t I go to the Counselor Who numbers the stars and calls them by name? Why wouldn’t I go to the Counselor Who told the ocean to stop here and the wind to go there? Why wouldn’t I go to the Counselor Who created the animals and flowers and seasons I love?

2 of 5 I don’t know about you, but I’ve had some pretty lousy bosses. Some have been lazy, some micromanagers. Some have been fussy and unappeasable. Some have been garrulous or cocky and some just clueless. So when I think of someone who is in charge, the boss, or a supervisor, I am reminded of my own experiences with the unlikeable and annoying. Have you applied your human understanding to God? To any of His-stories? I suppose it’s not without surprise we may do this. I’m grateful that God is patient and understands our limits, yet He provides ways get our attention to draw us closer to Him. He did this for me recently. For me, the word counselor conjures up hustlers, manipulators, plotters, and overly ambitious back stabbers. Honestly, any human in a position of authority over another human is questionable from my perspective. I freely admit that I am human-y, applying my human-y understanding and human-y experiences to this word. But, something unexpected happened.
