So sorry friends. Been knocked down pretty hard by... something.
Cooties? Maybe! Kids on my last nerve? They destroyed that years ago! Chemtrails dropping a concoction of bioweapons? Plausible!
Thanks for your patience. And grace π

The well is empty.
Itβs not always realized though. Not even when weβre furiously crossings items off the βto doβ list. Not even when we flop into bed, mentally drained. Not even when weβre short-tempered with those we care about. Not even when we feel fine, think straight, and donβt encounter any bumps in the road.
Our enemy knows we will become drained. How often has he prevented us from replenishing the flow? How often have we crawled and clawed our way through obstacles to get to The Well?
What if the Living Water wants us to stop in our tracks, stop with our good intentions, stop with our feeble attempts of limping along unaided, and just cry out for Him? Would He not meet us where we are, offer us nourishment?
Sometimes it feels like we are not enough: we cannot do enough, be enough. We disappoint those we love. We put down and forget to pick back up. We care too much, we care too little. We say too much, we donβt say enough. Our minds are unsettled, our feelings hurtle us along the shaky ride, our body accumulates another scar.
Sometimes it feels vast and scary; sometimes it feels cramped and crowded. Too noisy. Too busy.
Stop.
Close your eyes.
Let the world whirl around you while you rest in His Sonshine.
When your spiritual ground is dry, cracked, flawed, and The Well seems out of reach, stop where you are. He will always meet you there to pour out His Living Water.
Ask then accept.

Hello friends - I am posting this piece I wrote in August 2023 for a specific friend in mind. May it bless you, too!

I just looked up the references to βBut God.β He is always faithful and always with us and on time.
