More and more people are moving away from agricultural background to relocate to cities in order to look for work. What will be the consequences of this? What solutions can you offer? The migration from rural areas to cities is increasingly prevalent, driven by the search for better employment opportunities. This shift brings along certain problems which I believe, are important to find solutions. The influx of people into urban areas leads to increased urbanization, which poses several challenges. One major issue is urban overpopulation, which places a strain on housing, public transport, and other public services. This means already overcrowded cities have to suffer even more with the ever-increasing flow of rural migration into urban areas. Worse yet, once the number of people in the countryside falls, it eventually causes to a decline in the agricultural workforce. This can potentially impact food production as farmers would be hard-pressed to deal with their daily tasks in the fields. this in turn can negatively affect the economy of this locality as they have fewer crops. Thus, I consider these consequences very serious/therefore the consequences of rural-urban migration affect negatively both rural and urban areas equally. To mitigate these issues, targeted solutions are necessary. Logically, in order to discourage urban migration, rural development should be prioritized. Improving rural infrastructure, easy access to better education and health care facilities, and development of other necessary public facilities, I believe, can stimulate lifestyle in cities, encouraging people to stay in the rural. Furthermore, creating more and better job opportunities can also be one main reason to keep the rural populace in the locality as the majority of them relocate to cities in the hope of better employment. To do these, new public services or factories can be established within rural areas or around so that people do not have to long to move to urban areas. This is because once they have a stable job along with comfort equal to the one in cities, they do not feel urged to leave their own hometown. So, these solutions seem to be viable. All in all, the shift from rural to urban areas brings certain issues to both areas at the same time. Urban overpopulation and loss of agricultural workforce are the main troubles attributable to this trend and I believe through rural development and better rural employment opportunities, the negative impacts can be alleviated. #classwork_task2 @Edu_side

The charts show the level of production, consumption and profit allocation across the globe. It is clear that concerning the coffee consumption, two given continents are the primary coffee consumers while the South Africa is a sole dominant producer. Regarding the profit distribution, most of it goes to delivery sector in contrast to exporters’ budget. The highest portion of coffee, 44% is grown in the South Africa, while the Europe and America import about 40%, being main consumers. In contrast, minor share of coffee about 10% consumed by Japan and rest of the world. Concerning the production, Vietnam grows the lowest share, 16% which is just 2% more than what Japan accounts for. Turning to the amount of money made out of coffee entrepreneurship, by far the highest percentage of profit falls into delivery sector at 51%. Almost half of this is allocated to retailers, being the second most-profitable sector. Producers follow this, receiving 15% of the total share whilst the exports take 10% of whole profit. #classwork @Edu_side

The chart shows the percentage of the urban population in specific regions – Africa, Asia, and Latin America – compared with the worldwide figure between 1950 and 2030. It is clear that the proportion of people living in urban areas in all listed locations will see a rising trend, with Latin America being a clear dominant over time in stark contrast to Africa’s relatively slower pace of urbanization. In 1950, the highest percentage of urban populace, 40% was recorded in Latin America and this was 10% higher than global statistics at 30%. By 2000, they both had increased substantially, with the former jumping to 70% while the latter climbed to just under 50%. Looking ahead, the American urban population is set to peak at 80%, marking a 20% increase over the global average for the same period. This means the initial difference between them is going to double in 2030. Turning to the remaining two continents, they had initially the lowest share of the urban population at just over 10%, with a negligible difference between them. However, this gap faded away until 2000 when they reached parity at just under 40%. Concerning the future, virtually half of Africans will be living in cities while 55% of their Asian counterparts are expected to live in urban areas. #task1_opusmock @Edu_side @KevinsAcademyFergana
