The maps illustrate the layout of the student common room five years ago and its current configuration. Overall, Overall, the room has been significantly modernized with diversified seating arrangements and new technological features, while some existing facilities have remained unchanged. As a result, the upgraded room is now more space-efficient and student-friendly, in contrast to the simpler and more spacious setup from five years ago. In detail, 5 years ago, upon entering the room, one would be greeted by circular tables filling the main area. There used to be 4 of such tables, arranged in a zigzag style, stretching from the entrance to the wall, right at the end of the room. A sink and cupboard occupied the whole corner from the left side of the entry, flanked by two benches, while the Northeast corner was designated for a microwave and refrigerator. Over the past five years, significant changes have been made. The tables on the east side have been removed, making space for a television in the southeast corner, which is surrounded by armchairs. Additionally, a drinks machine has been added nearby. The kitchen facilities along the top of the room have remained largely unchanged, except for the removal of one bench in the middle. Directly opposite the entrance, a large rectangular table has replaced one of the old circular tables, while the table in the southwest corner remains the same.
