We are from southern districts (Tirunelveli and Thoothukudi). We have applied for the TNPSC CESE exam which is scheduled to be conducted on January 6th and 7th,2024. As you all know that the southern districts have affected so much due to rains for the past 10 days. We could not able to prepare for the exam in the last minute of exam time. Our problem is slowly reducing day by day now. We did not get any power supply for a week. Still we are not getting continuous power supply, no water supply, sanitary problems etc.
The request of postponement of UG TRB exam which is also scheduled on January 7th,2024 is asked by media to Mr.Anbil Mahesh sir few days back. As per their request, they have released the press release yesterday (27th Dec,2024) that the UG TRB exam is postponed to February 4th,2024 due to flood and rains. (Even though they have released their hall tickets for them five days before itself).
We have sent the request to postpone the TNPSC CESE exam to TNPSC through mail but there is no proper response. When we called them, they are saying that there is no big number of request from the students side. Minimum 500 students have applied from Tirunelveli and Thoothukudi districts to our exam. We do not know that how many number of candidates TNPSC needs to consider our request to postpone the exam and also why TNPSC itself is not analysing on their own regarding the situation as like TRB.
We humbly request to postpone the exam date as like TRB. As per the information we gathered , For heavy rains and land slides in Nilgiri district in 2019, TNPSC has postponed the exam date only to that respective district in 2019 for TNPSC CESE (2019) exam. We need justice for our situation. Though court is closed until December 31st,2023, we cannot move to court regarding the situation we face. We kindly request you, please consider our situation and do the needful as soon as possible.
