Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań invites you to participate in the AMU Summer School "Inspiration and manipulation of public opinion as algorithms for gaining and maintaining political power in Europe (ed. II)". This program will take place on 30.06-06.07.2024 in Dębina Palace, Poland. The school is dedicated to students of humanities, social sciences and philosophy. It concerns the analysis of manipulation mechanisms and falsifications in the sphere of communication: fake news, information warfare, conspiracy narratives, rhetorical tricks, pseudoscience and mechanisms for recognizing it. Number of places: 1 For participants AMU provides transport (route Uman-> Kyiv->Zhytomyr->Rivne->Lutsk->Debina Palace and back), accommodation, meals (breakfast and dinner). 2024 Magna Charta Observatory (MCO) Student Essay Competition The competition, organized by the Magna Charta Observatory, invites university students globally to submit essays on making higher education more inclusive. The competition challenges students to address the issue of equity and fairness in access to education within diverse and inclusive environments. Participants can propose changes to enhance inclusivity in higher education governance, culture, teaching, learning, and research. More specifically, the guiding question of this year is as follows: “What would you change about your higher education experience or environment to make it more inclusive for all who have the ability to benefit from it?” Winners will have the opportunity to present their essays and participate in discussions with an international audience at the MCO Anniversary 2024, consisting of expenses paid (including travel and accommodation costs) or a prize of equivalent value, at the discretion of the organizers. In addition, the judging panel may award certificates of merit. Main requirements: 1. To participate the student must be enrolled in a Higher Education Institution. 2. The Ukrainian Catholic University, in partnership with the Nanovic Institute of the University of Notre Dame from the United States and the Catholic University of Croatia, announces the third summer school "Practicing Resilience - Preparing for Recovery" to be held in Šibenik, Croatia, from June 27 to July 7, 2024. During the 11-day program, participants will work on understanding the acute social challenges caused by the war, share their own experiences, develop joint projects to strengthen their ability to withstand emergencies and/or develop ideas for restoring peaceful life in their communities. Upon completion, each student will receive 3 ECTS credits. All participants will be provided with transportation, 3 meals a day, coffee breaks, and an overnight stay in the Mihovil rooms, an accommodation complex within the Catholic Primary School in Šibenik, Croatia. Participants will be provided with a free ticket to visit local fortresses, as well as a free excursion to local places near Šibenik. The organizers covers the costs of the organization, and participation is free of charge for the students. ❗️The application deadline is April 29, 2024 (23:59). We are excited to invite you to participate in the Japan University English Model United Nations (JUEMUN) 2024 at Notre Dame Seishin University in Japan! JUEMUN - an annual, collaborative and student-organized conference held in the Kansai region of Japan. It is the Japan’s premier English MUN experience for university students around the world. 🗓️ The conference will take place from June 28th to June 30th, 2024. The grant covers the registration fee, round-trip airfare to Japan, and accommodation from June 25th to June 30th. Students are responsible for covering the costs of visa, insurance, and personal expenses, including meals.
