I sent this letter to the Editor-in-Chief of Toxicology Reports demanding a full explanation for the removal of a published article examining vaccines and sudden infant death.
Americans have a right to know why scientific papers are removed, who made those decisions, what evidence supported them, and whether the same standards are applied consistently.
We will restore trust in public health by insisting on transparency, accountability, and open scientific inquiry—not by asking the public to accept decisions behind closed doors.

Although there is considerable evidence that a subset of infants has an increased risk of sudden death after receiving vaccines, health authorities eliminated "prophylactic vaccination" as an official cause of death, so medical examiners are compelled to misclassify and conceal vaccine-related fatalities under alternate cause-of-death classifications. In this paper, the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) database was analyzed to ascertain the onset interval of infant deaths post-vaccination. Of 2605 infant deaths reported to VAERS from 1990 through 2019, 58 % clustered within 3 days post-vaccination and 78.3 % occurred within 7 days post-vaccination, confirming that infant deaths tend to occur in temporal proximity to vaccine administration. The excess of deaths during these early post-vaccination periods was statistically significant (p < 0.00001). A review of the medical literature substantiates a link between vaccines and sudden unexplained infant deaths. Several theories regarding the pathogenic mechanism behind these fatal events have been proposed, including the role of inflammatory cytokines as neuromodulators in the infant medulla preceding an abnormal response to the accumulation of carbon dioxide; fatal disorganization of respiratory control induced by adjuvants that cross the blood-brain barrier; and biochemical or synergistic toxicity due to multiple vaccines administered concurrently. While the findings in this paper are not proof of an association between infant vaccines and infant deaths, they are highly suggestive of a causal relationship.

Right now, three pieces of legislation are moving through Parliament simultaneously, together representing a serious threat to the organic and GE-free sectors and our wider environment and health.
The Gene Technology Bill proposes to relax New Zealand's precautionary approach to genetic modification, allowing the environmental release of GMOs. Once released, contamination is irreversible, and there is no calling it back. Stalled after the first reading.
The HSNO Amendment Bill quietly gives the EPA the power to bypass normal approval processes for new organisms with limited public oversight and appears to lay the groundwork for a more permissive GE regime. Submissions close 11.59pm, Monday 15 June.
The ACVM Amendment Bill speeds up access to agricultural products approved overseas, but without clearly defining which regulators are "trusted," potentially opening a backdoor for GE inputs to enter our food system under the guise of ‘biologicals’. Submissions close 11.59pm, Monday 15 June.

As for me, I remain committed to asking questions, scrutinising decisions and representing the people who elected me.
I also remain committed to understanding how a disagreement over Standing Orders interpretation and a question asked during a council meeting became a series of formal investigations, significant expenditure of ratepayer's money and the situation we now find ourselves in.
That question, more than any finding, is the one that still deserves an answer.

| 16 | SOUTH WAIKATO DISTRICT COUNCIL UNDER SCUTINY

So, here we are.
Two out of five Code of Conduct investigations have now been completed and this Friday Council will hold an extraordinary Council meeting to consider the findings.
One complaint relates to a meeting on 26 February, so I have attached the video for anyone who wishes to watch what occurred for themselves.
The second relates to a question I asked during discussion of a Financial Services report on 5 March.
The question was:
"Now, this paragraph itself is contradictory because it says council with the current year up to date actual surplus and then we have a deficit. That is the first thing that I find confusing here. Then the second thing is, if you are talking about efficiencies and I am going to go back to that 1% efficiencies, can that be offset with this so we are not in deficit or is this another creative accounting term that we are using?"
The phrase that became the subject of the complaint was "or is this another creative accounting term that we are using"
I am sharing this in line with transparency and accountability with the public as the public is the appropriate authority because it was the public who elected me and the public is entitled to see the facts and form its own view
Over the coming days, and perhaps weeks, there will be plenty of discussion about the findings and I welcome that discussion
But as I look at where we are today I keep coming back to one question:
How did we get here?
How did we get from a disagreement over interpretation of Standing Orders and a question asked during a council meeting to external investigations, an Extraordinary Council meeting and thousands of dollars of ratepayer money being spent along the way?
Who made those decisions?
Why were those decisions made?
And who was responsible for deciding that this was the appropriate use of public resources?
As these matters progressed, I started looking closely at the process itself.
The Council's Code of Conduct sets out very clearly how complaints are supposed to be handled. So I looked for evidence that those steps were followed.
Instead of finding reassurance that due process has been followed, I found more questions.
The more I looked, the more concerned I became.
Eventually, I lodged a formal complaint regarding the process itself, the appointment of the investigator and the way the process had been managed, requesting an independent review of whether the Code of Conduct process had been properly followed.
What happened next is what I continue to struggle with.
The concerns I raised related to a process that had already been set in motion by the Mayor and to an investigator who had already been appointed.
Instead, my complaint about the process was dismissed by the same Mayor who initiated the process and the same investigator appointed under it with this email:
"Kia ora Councillor Latinovic,
Both the Mayor and the independent investigator have advised that the process undertaken for the current Code of Conduct complaint is appropriate and within the remit of the SWDC Code of Conduct for Elected Members."
In other words, concerns about the process were considered and dismissed by those already involved in the process itself. I continue to have concerns about whether that provides the degree of independence that would reasonably be expected when questions are raised about the process itself.
The email then continued:
"Given the process is actively ongoing, it is not appropriate to address any further matters you have raised."
The result was that the concerns remained unanswered and no independent review of the process occurred.
That response raises a simple question:
If concerns are raised about the integrity of an ongoing process, when should those concerns be examined if not while the process is still underway?
And now we arrive here.
On Friday the Council will consider the findings relating to these two complaints.
The reports are public. The meeting will be public. The debate will be public. | 898 |
