Subject: Important Update Regarding Your PTE Test Booking Dear Test Taker, We apologise for the inconvenience caused by the recent cancellation of your test appointment. Following recent changes to US sanctions requirements, Pearson was required to cancel affected PTE test appointments scheduled on or after 8 September 2026 while we reviewed the updated requirements and available options. We understand the disruption this has caused and appreciate your patience while we worked through the next steps. Following this review, Iranian citizens who hold an Iranian passport may be eligible to book and take a PTE test if they can provide acceptable evidence that they hold residency status outside Iran. This will be managed through an identification exception process. How to request an identification exception If you believe you meet these requirements, please complete the verification form using the link below. You will need to submit your valid Iranian passport and supporting evidence of your residency status outside Iran for review. By submitting your documentation, you consent to Pearson reviewing and, where required, verifying the documents you provide through relevant official sources via https://ptesvc.tfaforms.net/2626 Acceptable supporting evidence Supporting evidence may include one of the following valid government-issued documents: • Passport issued by another country • National identification card • Permanent residence card • Permanent residence visa • Other valid government-issued identification that clearly confirms residency status outside Iran, such as a driving licence or residence document showing your address in the country where residency is claimed Document requirements The supporting documents must include the following items: • Be the original document • Include a photograph that matches your appearance • Show identity information that matches the details in your Iranian passport • Be current and valid • Clearly show your address in the country where residency is claimed, unless the document is a permanent residence card that otherwise meets the applicable identification and residency verification requirements Booking and test-day requirements Once your submission has been reviewed and approved, you will receive an email confirming the identification exception and providing a case reference number. You may then book a test through the existing PTE booking process. You must bring the same original Iranian passport and approved supporting evidence to the test centre on test day. You may also be asked to provide your case reference number. If you do not present the required original documents on test day, the test centre will not be able to allow you to test. Please do not book or attend a test appointment until your identification exception has been approved. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
