这时候,就要寻找新材料。最近,台积电携手阳明交大团队,成功开发出高效能的单层二硫化钼(MoS2)顶闸极电晶体。
单层二硫化钼只有原子级厚度,能牢牢管住电子,大幅抑制漏电问题。同等尺寸下,开关更干脆、功耗显著降低,电子传输也更顺畅稳定。它可以把晶体管做得更小,还支持三维堆叠,有望在 0.7nm 节点延续芯片性能提升。
这意味着,芯片即将进入“二维材料时代”(只有单原子或少数几层原子厚度的材料)。
未来的技术方向大概率是:硅依然作为基础衬底;二硫化钼、二硒化钨等二维材料大量用于垂直堆叠的上层晶体管。高端算力芯片里面硅和二维材料共同工作;中低端芯片继续使用纯硅工艺。
