Dear Members!
I recently finished my PhD and I am working now in Hungary, at Szent IstvĂĄn University (GödöllĆ city), as an associate teacher. Me and my associate professor colleague together as supervisors would like to open a PhD position in the topic of "Botany".
I am a researcher in temperate orchids and nature conservation, so I would be happy to supervise someone in this topic (Population dynamics, fertility rate, morphological traits, pollinators, in vitro germination... etc).
In Hungary, there is a scholarship program for certain international students, called: Stipendium Hungaricum Programme. (https://stipendiumhungaricum.hu/)
https://stipendiumhungaricum.hu/uploads/2020/11/PhD_Call_for_Applications_2021_2022.pdf
This is a full-financed scholarship, where the PhD students, beside the scholarship (what is 140.000 HUF (hungarian forint is the currency)/month in the first two years, and 180.000 HUF/month in the 3rd and 4th year), also get 40.000 HUF/month allowance for living (either if you stay in dormitory or you rent a flat).
In the first two years you have to take some courses, after the second year, there is a complex exam you have to accomplish, then in the third and fourth year you can concentrate only to your research and write your dissertation. The PhD should be finished by the end on the 4th year, the scholarship lasts for 4 years.
The deadline for submitting application is 16th January (really close).
More details about the SH Programme are on the website, what I know that from us, if you want to apply, you need a "Letters of Recommendation and Statement of the Supervisor". This is what we can prove you, if you are interested, during a skype call we discuss everything and both of us find this cooperation operative.
Thank you for reading! Pm me if you are interested.
