I Am Trying Not To Fall Apart
I wonder what it feels like to live a life that doesn't constantly force me to save myself. Iβm so tired of dragging myself out of the ruins. Tired of carrying myself through it all.
Iβm overwhelmed by the noise inside me. Overwhelmed by the noise that never stops crashing into me. Why does breathing take so much effort? Why does remembering leave behind so much pain? Why does every hello carry so much goodbye? As if I were trapped in an endless loop where one wound barely heals before another opens.
I sit alone in dark, quiet rooms and donβt know what Iβm feeling. Sometimes I think I can hear the exhaustion in my bones. So I do nothing but try to hold myself together. And maybe that's the most exhausting part: that my life is nothing but trying, over and over again, not to fall apart.
