IELTS (Paper-based/Computer-based) - Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking are the four sections. Both tests have the same Listening and Speaking sections. -The Reading and Writing sections’ content varies depending on which test you take. For example, for the Academic version, you might write an academic essay, but for the General Training version, you might have to write a business-style letter. Both versions of the IELTS test have the Listening, Reading, and Writing sections on the same day, without intermissions. -The Speaking section, on the other hand, can be taken up to a week before or after the other tests. This section includes a face-to-face interview with an examiner. The interview is recorded and is limited to 20 minutes. - The test duration is 2 hrs 45 minutes and the score ranges from 0-9. —————————————————— - TOEFL iBT (Internet-based Test) It has a reading portion that lasts 60-100 minutes. It will consist of three to five reading portions with 12-14 questions each. - There is a listening section that lasts 60-90 minutes. It will consist of six to nine listening portions with 5-6 questions each. There is a 20-minute Speaking section that involves completion of six verbal activities. -The TOEFL writing section lasts 50 minutes. The test taker is required to complete two tasks. These two types of writing assignments involve – Integrated Writing and Independent Writing. Taking notes, summarising, and organising information from a reading and a short lecture are all part of Integrated Writing.
