Global Update
Russia warned it could halt gas supplies to Europe as energy prices surge after the US-Israel attack on Iran disrupted Gulf shipping and LNG output. President Vladimir Putin linked the threat to the EU’s planned ban on total Russian gas imports by late 2027 and to ban new short-term Russian LNG contracts from late April 2026, saying it may be more beneficial for Russia to stop supplying gas immediately.
Impact: Positive for Natural Gas.
