Weekly CFTC Speculative Positioning WTI Crude: Speculative net longs rose 4,034 contracts to 105,860, signalling stronger bullish positioning. 🔥 Natural Gas: Speculative net shorts declined 18,848 contracts to 70,241, indicating reduced bearish exposure. 🥇 Gold: Speculative net longs increased 9,470 contracts to 141,868, reflecting improved bullish sentiment. 🥈 Silver: Net longs fell 755 contracts to 10,312, showing slightly weaker positioning. 🟠 Copper: Speculative net longs climbed 3,085 contracts to 80,880, highlighting stronger bullish conviction. -Choice Broking

Dollar Update The dollar index fell to around 99.5, extending its third straight decline as weak US data reduced Fed hike expectations. Markets now see a 67% chance of a September hold, while investors await FOMC minutes and Jackson Hole guidance. -Choice Broking

Rupee Update The Indian rupee weakened to around 95.49 per dollar, hitting two-week lows after the RBI advanced the FCNR(B) forex swap deadline. Elevated oil prices, strong importer hedging and concerns over future dollar inflows pressured sentiment despite a softer dollar and stronger forex reserves. -Choice Broking

Global Market Heatmap Global markets were mixed, with the Nasdaq 100 (+0.28%) and S&P 500 (+0.06%) edging higher, while the Dow Jones (-0.14%) and Russell 2000 (-0.08%) declined. Crude oil strengthened, with WTI at $82.64 and Brent at $89.01, while natural gas fell 2.63%. Metals were broadly positive, led by copper (+1.59%), silver (+0.92%) and gold (+0.26%). The US dollar eased 0.13%, while the euro, yen and pound gained modestly.
