U.S. is set to impose a 7.5% tariff on Chinese goods over allegations of excess manufacturing capacity before a planned summit between Chinese President Xi Jinping and U.S. President Donald Trump next month, Bloomberg News reported.

Natural gas prices fell as record U.S. production, ample inventories and weaker LNG feedgas demand pressured the market. Lower 48 output averaged 111.5 bcfd in August, while LNG flows eased. Ongoing Corpus Christi maintenance and cooler forecasts further weighed on prices despite elevated cooling demand.
