GAGE University College Conducts Life Skills Training for TVET Graduates GAGE University College recently organized life skills training for graduates of its Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) programs across all five campuses. The program aimed to equip graduates with essential skills to enhance their personal and professional development. The training was delivered by experienced trainers from the university college, who brought a wealth of expertise to the sessions. Trainees expressed their satisfaction with the program, highlighting that it helped them transform their mindset and significantly improved their life skills. They also extended their gratitude to the university college for organizing and offering the training free of charge. In his address, the President of GAGE University College, Ato Zerihun Mengistu, alongside the Director of the Quality Assurance and Enhancement Directorate, Ato Melese Getu, outlined the objectives of the program and the expectations placed on the participants. The training covered key life skills topics, facilitated by trainers Ato Derb Chirotaw, Ato Negesse, and Ato Tsegazeab Lemlem. Additionally, the ICT Director, Ato Solomon Wegayehu, and the Vice President for Technical and Vocational Affairs, Ato Jemal Seid, provided an in-depth explanation of the Certificate of Competence (COC) process and emphasized the commitment required from trainees to succeed. The program included comprehensive information about registration, scheduling, and the availability of COC training sessions, even on weekends, across all campuses. The training concluded with an interactive Q&A session, during which trainees’ queries about the upcoming COC training were addressed. Ato Zerihun Mengistu (President), Ato Jemal Seid (AcVP for TVET), Ato Solomon Wegayehu (EICTD), and Ato Abera G/Hiwot (Academic Vice President for UG & PG) provided detailed responses, ensuring clarity and reassurance for all participants. Finally, it was announced that a certificate and award program will be held next week to recognize the efforts of trainees, trainers, and all contributors to the success of the Life Skills, 21st-Century Skills, and COC training initiatives. The event will celebrate the dedication and collaborative spirit that brought the program to fruition.

Century Skill for TVET trainees was successfully conducted at Tesfa Birhan School Hall, bringing together participants from Sholla, Wesen Kara, and Bole Olympia campuses. This event marked the beginning of a transformative journey for attendees, focusing on essential skills for personal and professional growth. The training aimed to empower students with practical knowledge and tools to navigate various challenges effectively. Participants expressed excitement and engagement, reflecting the program's promising start. Further sessions are anticipated to build on this momentum, fostering a vibrant learning environment.
