✍🏻In the Rajmahal Hills of modern-day Jharkhand, India, there was an uprising against the British in 1778 known as the Pahariya rebellion.
✍🏻Raja Jagganath spearheaded the uprising, which was a reaction to the British invading Pahariya land. The Pahariyas were a Dravidian hill tribe that considered the entire area to be their nation and were hostile to outsiders.
✍🏻The Pahariyas were hunted down and slaughtered during a campaign by the British. The Pahariyas repeatedly fought the British in 1766, 1772, and 1781–1782.

✍🏻The Chuar Rebellion, also known as the Jungle Mahal movement, was a series of peasant uprisings that took place between 1771 and 1809. ✍🏻The rebellion was a response to the rule of the East India Company by the tribal inhabitants of the countryside around the Jungle Mahals settlements of Dhalbhum, Midnapore, Bankura, and Manbhum. ✍🏻The rebellion began in 1766 and ended in 1834.
✍🏻The Komagata Maru incident involved the Japanese steamship Komagata Maru, on which a group of people from British India attempted to immigrate to Canada in April 1914, but most were denied entry and forced to return to Budge Budge, Calcutta (present-day Kolkata). ✍🏻There, the Indian Imperial Police attempted to arrest the group leaders. A riot ensued, and they were fired upon by the police, resulting in some deaths.
