01 Sending ṣalāh upon the Prophet ﷺ on Friday is better than on the rest of the days, and its night (Thursday night) is the best of nights. He ﷺ said, “Among the best of your days is Friday, so frequently send ṣalāh upon me therein.”

02 Dashing to do good deeds:
Hastening to do good deeds is mentioned in the Quran such as the Saying of Allah (which means):
{It is those who hasten to good deeds, and they outstrip [others] therein.}
[Quran 23:61]
and other verses, the meaning of which is hastening and taking the initiative to do good deeds.
Al-Baghawi said in his Tafseer:
“The Saying of Allah (which means): {It is those who hasten to good deeds}, means they take the initiative to do good deeds.”
[End of quote]
This hastening to do good deeds is not specific to some kind of good deeds only; rather, if a Muslim can do any portion of every good deed that he is able to do, then let him hasten to do it and not delay.

03 Finish your dues first:
Prophet (Peace be upon him) said:
“Whoever fasts six days after Eed al-Fitr will be rewarded as if he had fasted the entire year. Whoever does a good act he will be rewarded ten times.”
[Ibn Maajah, and Shaykh Al-Albaani graded it as authentic]
The reward is for the one who fasts the entire month of Ramadan and then fasts six days of Shawwal. Therefore, you should make up the missed days of Ramadan first, and then fast the six days of Shawwal.

He who observed the fast of Ramadan and then followed it with six (fasts) of Shawwal. it would be as if he fasted perpetually.

05 Forgotten Sunnah: Wake up at Night, Recite this Dhikr and seek Forgiveness:
Narrated ‘Ubada bin As-Samit: The Prophet -sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam-said:
“Whoever gets up at night and says:
لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَه،ُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْد،ُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ
سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ ، وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ ، وَلَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ ، وَاللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ ،وَ لَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ
‘There is none worthy of worship in truth except Allaah Alone, He has no partners, He has the Dominion and for Him is all praise, and He is capable of all things, praise is for Him, and Far is Allaah from imperfection, and There is none worthy of worship in truth except Allaah, and Allaah is the Greatest, there is no capability nor is there any power except with Allaah.
La ilaha ‘illa Allaahu wahdahu la shareeka lahu, lahul mulku wa lahul hamdu wa huwa ala kulli shayin qadeer Subhana allaahi, wal hamdu lillaahi, wa la illaah ila Allaah, wa Allaahu akbar, La hawla wa la quwwata illa billaa
Then he says :
اللهمَ اغْفِرْلي
O Allaah forgive me (Allaahumma aghfirlee), or he supplicates and his supplication is answered, and if he makes Wudu and prays then his prayer is accepted.

06 I complain to Allah alone:
Shaikhul Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah (may Allah have mercy upon him) said:
“Verily complaints should be directed towards Allah, the Exalted as the pious servant [Ya’qub] said: “I only complain of my grief and sorrow to Allah [12:86]”

07 Everyone in the heavens & on earth prays for forgiveness for the seeker of knowledge:
`Abu Ad-Darda’ (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) say: “Whoever follows a path in the pursuit of knowledge, Allah will make easy for him a path to Paradise. The angels lower their wings in approval of the seeker of knowledge , and everyone in the heavens and on earth prays for forgiveness for the seeker of knowledge, even the fish in the sea. The superiority of the scholar over the worshipper is like the superiority of the moon over all other heavenly bodies. The scholars are the heirs of the Prophets, for the Prophets did not leave behind Dinars or Dirhams, rather they left behind knowledge, so whoever takes it has taken a great share.”
(Narrated by At-Tirmidhi, 2682, Abu Dawud, 3541 and Ibn Majah, 223; classed as sound by Al-Albaani in Saheeh At-Targheeb, 1/17)

Use your time in dunya wisely and make the most of the time you have to send forth good deeds because a time is coming where you will need them.
We have an obligation upon us to help the Muslims of Syria by giving in sadaqah and know that whatever you give out will only be replaced by something better.

09 Early morning is a virtuous time:
Sakhr al-Ghamidi related that Allah's Messenger peace be upon him said:
"O Allah, bless my nation in its early-risers,"
and that when he would send out an expedition or army, he would send it out at the very start of the day. Sakhr himself was a merchant, and he would do business at the very start of the day. As a result, he became abnormally wealthy.

14 Virtues of reciting Surat al-Baqarah at home:
The Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) has told us of the great virtue of Surat al-Baqarah as a whole, and of some of its verses, such as Ayat al-Kursiy and the last two verses of the surah .
Among the things that he (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) has told us about its virtue is that the devils flee the house in which this surah is recited, and that is beneficial in protecting against and remedying sihr (witchcraft ).
Abu Hurayrah narrated that the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: “Do not make your houses into graves, for the Shaytan flees from a house in which Surat al-Baqarah is recited.” Narrated by Muslim (780).
Abu Umamah al-Bahili said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) say: “Read Surat al-Baqarah, for reciting it regularly is a blessing and forsaking it is a cause of regret, and the magicians cannot withstand it.” Narrated by Muslim (804).

15 The lightest punishment in Hell:
إِنَّ أَهْوَنَ أَهْلِ النَّارِ عَذَابًا مَنْ لَهُ نَعْلاَنِ وَشِرَاكَانِ مِنْ نَارٍ يَغْلِي مِنْهُمَا دِمَاغُهُ كَمَا يَغْلِي الْمِرْجَلُ مَا يَرَى أَنَّ أَحَدًا أَشَدُّ مِنْهُ عَذَابًا وَإِنَّهُ لأَهْوَنُهُمْ عَذَابًا
The Prophet said:
Indeed, the least suffering for the inhabitants of Fire would be for him who would have two shoes and two laces of Fire (on his feet), and with these they would boil his brain as a cooking vessel boils.
And he would think that he would not see anyone in a more painful torment than him, although he would actually be in the least torment.

17 Istighfar- Seek forgiveness dear brother/sister:
“Truly, Allah loves those who repent, and He loves those who cleanse themselves.”
(Quran, 2:222)
But surely the righteous will be in the midst of gardens and springs, receiving what the Lord will give them; for they used to do good before that. They used to sleep but a little of the night; and at the dawn of the day they sought forgiveness…”
(Quran, 51:16-19)

18 Let your tongue be moist with dhikr of Allah:
Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah Rahimahullah said;
"Seeking forgiveness is the greatest hasanat & its field is so extensive, whoever finds that he has shortcomings in his ibādah, sayings or actions, or that his sustainance has decreased or that his heart is unsettled, then let him make istighfar."

22 A great reward:
Sins wiped out even if they are equal to the foam of the ocean!!
وعنه أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: ”من قال لا إله إلا الله وحده لا شريك له، له الملك، وله الحمد، وهو على كل شيء قدير، في يوم مائة مرة كانت له عدل عشر رقاب وكتبت له مائة حسنة، ومحيت عنه مائة سيئة، وكانت له حرزًا من الشيطان يومه ذلك حتى يمسي، ولم يأتِ أحد بأفضل مما جاء به إلا رجل عمل أكثر منه” وقال: ”من قال سبحان الله وبحمده، في يوم مائة مرة حطت عنه خطاياه وإن كانت مثل زبد البحر” ((متفق عليه)).
Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, “He who utters a hundred times in a day these words:
‘La ilaha illallahu, wahdahu la sharika lahu, lahul-mulku wa lahul-hamdu, wa Huwa ‘ala kulli sha’in Qadir (there is no true god except Allah.
He is One and He has no partner with Him; His is the sovereignty and His is the praise, and He is Omnipotent),’
he will have a reward equivalent to that for emancipating ten slaves, a hundred good deeds will be recorded to his credit, hundred of his sins will be blotted out from his scroll, and he will be safeguarded against the devil on that day till the evening; and no one will exceed him in doing more excellent good deeds except someone who has recited these words more often than him. And he who utters:
‘Subhan-Allahi wa bihamdihi (Allah is free from imperfection and His is the praise)’
one hundred times a day, his sins will be obliterated even if they are equal to the extent of the foam of the ocean.”

23 Asking Allah for Good Dreams:
Ibn Al-Sunnī records that when ʿĀʾishah – Allāh be pleased with her – wanted to go to sleep she would say:
O Allāh, verily I ask you for good dreams: dreams that are true and not false, beneficial and not harmful.
اللهم إني أسألك رؤيا صالحةً صادقةً غيرَ كاذبةٍ نافعةً غيرَ ضارةٍ
And when she said this, [those who heard her] knew that she would not speak any more until she woke up from the night.
[Al-Nawawī, Al-Adhkār ḥadīth 271. Ibn Ḥajr graded it ṣaḥīḥ in Natāʾij Al-Afkār 3:89]

24 The prohibition of backbiting and the commandment of guarding one's tongue:
Abu Musa Al-Ash'ari (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:
I asked the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ): "Who is the most excellent among the Muslims?" He said, "One from whose tongue and hands the other Muslims are secure."
[Al-Bukhari and Muslim]
وعن أبي موسى رضي الله عنه قال: قلت: يا رسول الله أي المسلمين أفضل؟ قال: "من سلم المسلمون من لسانه ويده".

25 One of the blessings with which the Muslim nation has been endowed is the day of Jumu'ah, or Friday:
The Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, said:
“The best day the sun rises over is Friday; on it Allah created Aadam. On it, he was made to enter paradise, on it he was expelled from it, and the Last Hour will take place on no other day than Friday.”

30 No Amount Is Too Small:
The Messenger (ﷺ) said with regards to the charity that is given generally: “And save yourselves from the hell fire even if it be with the piece of a date.” Sahīh Muslim
Wake up O Ummah of our Prophet Mohammed ﷺ . The Ummah is calling for our help.
Cant you see the destruction and terror your brothers and sisters live through? Isnt it enough that you have the ability to give and you say you love the ummah, but you turn away when the ummah is suffering through poverty, grief, oppression and the list goes on.
- You think that by giving in charity you are doing a favour to others? In reality, you are benefiting yourself.
- Picture your son, daughter, niece or nephew in this position. What would you do?

31 Start your day with this weapon:
Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Qayyim al-Jawziyyah(رحمه الله):
“Du’ā is like a weapon, and a weapon is only as good as the person who is using it; it is not merely the matter of how sharp it is. If the weapon is perfect and free of faults, and the arm of the person using it is strong, and there is nothing stopping him, then he can lay waste the enemy. But if any of these three features is lacking, then the effect will be lacking accordingly.”

Imam Ibn al-Jawzi (may Allah have mercy upon him) said:
“Surely the Salaf used to dislike complaining to the creation. Complaining, even though there is comfort in it, indicates weakness and humiliation. Patience from it is evidence of strength and honor”

However, it is not absolutely sinful except if it is accompanied with that which is unlawful, like one who is afflicted and is discontent [with the calamity]”

34 Recommended good deed:
The Companions, may Allaah be pleased with them, asked the Prophet Peace be upon him
'Is there a reward for us in serving the animals?' He replied: "Yes, there is a reward for serving any living animal."

35 Prophet ﷺ making dua for the oppressed:
Narrated Abu Huraira;:
Whenever the Prophet ﷺ lifted his head from the bowing in the last raka he ﷺ used to say: "O Allah! Save Aiyash bin Abi Rabi`a. O Allah! Save Salama bin Hisham. O Allah! Save Walid bin Walid. O Allah! Save the weak faithful believers. O Allah! Be hard on the tribes of Mudar and send (famine) years on them like the famine years of (Prophet) Joseph ." The Prophet (ﷺ) further said, "Allah forgive the tribes of Ghifar and save the tribes of Aslam." Abu Az-Zinad (a sub-narrator) said, "The Qunut used to be recited by the Prophet (ﷺ) in the Fajr prayer."
حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا مُغِيرَةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ، عَنِ الأَعْرَجِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم كَانَ إِذَا رَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ مِنَ الرَّكْعَةِ الآخِرَةِ يَقُولُ " اللَّهُمَّ أَنْجِ عَيَّاشَ بْنَ أَبِي رَبِيعَةَ، اللَّهُمَّ أَنْجِ سَلَمَةَ بْنَ هِشَامٍ، اللَّهُمَّ أَنْجِ الْوَلِيدَ بْنَ الْوَلِيدِ، اللَّهُمَّ أَنْجِ الْمُسْتَضْعَفِينَ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ، اللَّهُمَّ اشْدُدْ وَطْأَتَكَ عَلَى مُضَرَ، اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْهَا سِنِينَ كَسِنِي يُوسُفَ ". وَأَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " غِفَارُ غَفَرَ اللَّهُ لَهَا، وَأَسْلَمُ سَالَمَهَا اللَّهُ ". قَالَ ابْنُ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ هَذَا كُلُّهُ فِي الصُّبْحِ.

36 There is no benefit in being sad:
Ibnul-Qayyim Al-Jawziyyah said: Al-Huzn (الحزن) sadness has not come within the Qur'ān except being prohibited or negated.
As for it being a prohibition it is like His, Exalted be He, statement:
*And do not be weak nor be sad* (Āli 'Imrān 3:139)
And His statement:
*And do not grieve over them* (An-Nahl 16:111)
And his statement:
*Do not be sad, for indeed Allāh is with us.* (At-Tawbah 9:40)
As for the negation it is like His statement:
*No sadness will be upon them nor will they grieve* (Al-Baqarah 2:38)
The subtle reasoning behind this is that sadness is something which should not be traversed upon and there is no benefit in it for the heart. The most beloved thing to Shaytān is that he causes the servant to be sad in order that he may cut him off in his journey and cause him to stop in his path.

Abu Ayyub al-Ansari (Allah be pleased with him) reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying:
He who observed the fast of Ramadan and then followed it with six (fasts) of Shawwal. it would be as if he fasted perpetually.

40 "I Cry, While Everyone Else is Happy!":
Imam Ibn al-Dhahabī:
One of the great stances of al-Mansūr (Muḥammad ibn Abī ʿĀmir, the Ḥājib of al-Muʿayyad bi-llah al-Andalusī); is that he once came back from a battle, then a woman stopped him by the palace and said:
“O Mansūr I cry, while everyone else is happy! My son is a captive in the lands of the Romans!”
Then al-Mansūr took the reins of his horse making it turn back and commanded the people to march towards the place where this woman's son was being held captive.

Dashing to do good deeds:
Hastening to do good deeds is mentioned in the Quran such as the Saying of Allah (which means):
{It is those who hasten to good deeds, and they outstrip [others] therein.}
[Quran 23:61]
and other verses, the meaning of which is hastening and taking the initiative to do good deeds.
Al-Baghawi said in his Tafseer:
“The Saying of Allah (which means): {It is those who hasten to good deeds}, means they take the initiative to do good deeds.”
[End of quote]
This hastening to do good deeds is not specific to some kind of good deeds only; rather, if a Muslim can do any portion of every good deed that he is able to do, then let him hasten to do it and not delay.

Finish your dues first:
Prophet (Peace be upon him) said:
“Whoever fasts six days after Eed al-Fitr will be rewarded as if he had fasted the entire year. Whoever does a good act he will be rewarded ten times.”
[Ibn Maajah, and Shaykh Al-Albaani graded it as authentic]
The reward is for the one who fasts the entire month of Ramadan and then fasts six days of Shawwal. Therefore, you should make up the missed days of Ramadan first, and then fast the six days of Shawwal.

Forgotten Sunnah: Wake up at Night, Recite this Dhikr and seek Forgiveness:
Narrated ‘Ubada bin As-Samit: The Prophet -sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam-said:
“Whoever gets up at night and says:
لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَه،ُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْد،ُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ
سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ ، وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ ، وَلَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ ، وَاللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ ،وَ لَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ
‘There is none worthy of worship in truth except Allaah Alone, He has no partners, He has the Dominion and for Him is all praise, and He is capable of all things, praise is for Him, and Far is Allaah from imperfection, and There is none worthy of worship in truth except Allaah, and Allaah is the Greatest, there is no capability nor is there any power except with Allaah.
La ilaha ‘illa Allaahu wahdahu la shareeka lahu, lahul mulku wa lahul hamdu wa huwa ala kulli shayin qadeer Subhana allaahi, wal hamdu lillaahi, wa la illaah ila Allaah, wa Allaahu akbar, La hawla wa la quwwata illa billaa
Then he says :
اللهمَ اغْفِرْلي
O Allaah forgive me (Allaahumma aghfirlee), or he supplicates and his supplication is answered, and if he makes Wudu and prays then his prayer is accepted.

“Verily complaints should be directed towards Allah, the Exalted as the pious servant [Ya’qub] said: “I only complain of my grief and sorrow to Allah [12:86]”

Everyone in the heavens & on earth prays for forgiveness for the seeker of knowledge:
`Abu Ad-Darda’ (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) say: “Whoever follows a path in the pursuit of knowledge, Allah will make easy for him a path to Paradise. The angels lower their wings in approval of the seeker of knowledge , and everyone in the heavens and on earth prays for forgiveness for the seeker of knowledge, even the fish in the sea. The superiority of the scholar over the worshipper is like the superiority of the moon over all other heavenly bodies. The scholars are the heirs of the Prophets, for the Prophets did not leave behind Dinars or Dirhams, rather they left behind knowledge, so whoever takes it has taken a great share.”
(Narrated by At-Tirmidhi, 2682, Abu Dawud, 3541 and Ibn Majah, 223; classed as sound by Al-Albaani in Saheeh At-Targheeb, 1/17)

Early morning is a virtuous time:
Sakhr al-Ghamidi related that Allah's Messenger peace be upon him said:
"O Allah, bless my nation in its early-risers,"
and that when he would send out an expedition or army, he would send it out at the very start of the day. Sakhr himself was a merchant, and he would do business at the very start of the day. As a result, he became abnormally wealthy.
