| 5 | +4 Project B.F.F. Joy of Reading event was launched on the 3rd of September 🌟🚀
It featured two main activities:
1) a hands-on terrarium workshop 🌱
Rotaract members guided students in creating miniature ecosystems 🌳🌏
2) a goal-setting session 🌟
Members helped students reflect on their academic goals 🏆
Following these activities, Dr. Chitra, previously an Assistant Professor at the English Language and Literature Department of the NIE, initiated a Reading Programme for the students. She actively engaged with the students through questioning and encouraged them by offering stationeries as rewards. Furthermore, Dr. Chitra supplied books to the children to foster a habit of studying among them. 📚
The event involved 35 Rotaract volunteers and over 30 Primary 1-6 students from 25 families.
We would like to extend our gratitude to Dr. Chitra for the successful launch event! And also, thank you to all our participants involved! 🌟

| 6 | +5 On the 30th of August, members of the Youth Development and Professional Development division attended the "Read to Lead: Joy of Reading Project Workshop" at Gaia. 📚📝
Conducted by Dr. Chitra Shegar, Director of Reading Edge Academy Pte Ltd, volunteers from both divisions got a glimpse into the reading programme which seeks to inspire underprivileged students to excel in their studies. 🌟📚 The workshop provided volunteers with valuable skills, such as effective communication, mentoring techniques, and strategies for engaging young learners.💡 💭

Outgoing directors reflected on their past achievements throughout the year, highlighting the contributions of their sub-committee members.
