Reason for having different values of delta x times delta p: Minimum value hbar/2 depends on specific form of wavefunction in consideration. Remember, you will use delta x. delta.p = hbar/2 only when the wavefunction is of Gaussian form. In other cases it may vary. And as long as it is greater than hbar/2 HUP is satisfied and we are correct.
