At the Feb expiry trading session, Markets continued to lack proper direction. The positive momentum was due to RBI’s move to rollback its NBFC loan risk weight hike. 22500 is a crucial level as Nifty 50 was seen consolidating around 22550 today. On one hand, where Financials were trying to uplift the markets, it was offset by weakness in broader markets. 22500-23000 is the current range of the index.
Nifty Bank was showing strength today due to the RBI's decision and it was led by strength in Banks and Financials. However, 49000 remains a hurdle for the index as the index consolidated around 48850 after a positive opening indicating that it lacks the strength to rise up sharply.
Sector-wise, the top loser is Nifty Media, which lost 🔻 (3.9%) in today’s trading session.
Top gainer from Nifty 50 was Shriram Finance Ltd. 🔼 (5.2%) and the top loser was Ultratech Cement Ltd. 🔻 (-4.9%) in today’s trading session.
